Obituary: Beverly passed away peacefully in her sleep morning 9th. Beverly was born to Caroline and Brantley Burcham, on the 17th of 1929 at the Orange Memorial Hospital (Orlando Regional care Hospital). She was preceded in death by her sister Nancy B. Dann and her parents Caroline and Brantley Burcham. She graduated from Orlando High School in of 1946, was a member of the National Honor Society for three years and was the student council president her senior year. Beverly joined Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at Rollins in 1946. She transferred to the University of Georgia in 1948. She was elected to the Panhellenic Council and elected President of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority while at UGA. graduating from the University of Georgia in 1950, she was hired by the State of Florida to do social work; she also worked for the American Red Cross and finally decided to teach school at Princeton Elementary where she had attended school. On 16th 1952 she married Lt. Sherman S. Dantzler Sr. Mr. Dantzler had just received his USAF wings and was assigned to combat duty in Korea. Beverly entered Japan on a visa and lived in Fukuoka Japan where she could be close to her husband, Sherman. She lived in Japan for 16 months. Their first son, Sherman Scott Dantzler Jr., was born in Fukuoka. returning to the states in early 1954, Beverly and Sherman settled in Orlando. She had three more children, Fara Kem, Day Burcham (spouse Laura), and Judy Dantzler Skaggs (spouse Chris). Beverly has six grandchildren, Sherman S. III, Alexander Scott, Lauren Ashe ( spouse Jason), Day Burcham Jr, Christopher Evans, Taylor Sherman and three great grandchildren. Although Beverly's first love was her family, she was very active in the community and her church. She was a board member of several PTA's. She was an officer of the Friends of The Library, Town and Gown of the University of Central Florida, Young Woman's Community Club, Rosalind Club and The Junior League of Orlando.Beverly was very active at Saint James Catholic Cathedral for over 80 years. Beverly and Sherman were married for 64 years. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
