Obituary: Alice was a woman whose winning presence allowed her to take control of multiple situations with ease. Equipped with a clear focus, she possessed a tough-minded, “take charge” attitude. She always sought out the scene of where real life was, at times, unavoidable. Sociable, analytical and pleasant, Alice was the individual who enjoyed, nurtured and accepted all of life’s journeys. Born 2, 1933, on the family farm in Richlandtown, PA. Her parents, Stanley and Christine Perkowski, were the heart and soul of the Perkowski Klan. Raised in Brookhaven, PA at the “Old Dutton Mansion, she was quoted as saying, “the only thing that haunts this house are good memories”. Always able to express herself well, she possessed one of the strongest and uncensored views about the reality of, reality. Optimistic in her outlook on life, she was able, at all times, to be open-minded and terribly direct. Armed with great wit, Alice was raised to be accepting of others and to implement a strong private and public ethic. Being blessed with the balanced attitude, She was able to relate well with everyone. Her occasional role as family mediator gave her the opportunity to ease most situations when they occurred. Alice was raised with Nine (9) Siblings. Mom had five (5) brothers, Frank, Leonard, Richard, Alfred (Sonny) and Stanley (Buster). Mom had four (4) sisters, Florence (Flossy), Marie, Rita and Stella. Known to others as a focused, logical, open-minded and somewhat driven individual, Alice was able to utilize these qualities throughout her success and failures in life. Her curious nature was spurred by her ability to maximize her personal learning style through employing a hands-on approach. She was good with facts and had an excellent memory. She graduated from Chester High School in Chester, PA in 1951. Her favorite class in high school was History. Friends and acquaintances found Alice an easy woman to get to know, and those close to her would often praise her open, practical style of communication and relaxed approach to life in general. She was uncomplicated and straightforward in her relationships, which allowed her to accept people for what they were. While growing up, some of her best friends were Lorraine Reha, Annie Elliott. Later in life, she became friends with Don Kalberer, Tanny Manchum, Maxine Bowden, Frank and Jean Clontz, Dolly MacAfee and family. The Lael Family, Marilyn Sorrell and a long list of Musicians she met and loved at Flatwater Studios. On 11, 1957 Alice exchanged wedding vows with Jack Daniels at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Green Ridge, PA. Alice was attentive to Jack's feelings, and she charmed Jack and others with her gift for being able to give freely and generously. A good listener with an engaging personality, She was able to bring pleasure and unexpected humor to the relationship. Very much like a kid herself, Alice identified with the inquisitive and creative side of her children’s personalities. She was able to direct her energy and spontaneity towards helping her children acquire added common sense skills. She was not always successful, and that bothered her periodically. Alice was blessed, and sometimes burdened, with her and Jacks four children; Jeffrey, Curtis, Leslie and Stephan. This woman was a force that could draw the best from others around her. A persuasive individual who was quick to make necessary decisions, Her gift was being able to think on her feet. She was a true leader whom sought positive impacts for those who surrounded her through her decisions. Gifted with an incredible ability to read people, she was able to positively turn situations and motivate of others in order to get the necessary tasks completed. She was a good “Mom Styled” negotiator. Her primary occupation was an entrepreneur. Alice and Jack started in the Aerospace hardware industry where they successfully operated RAMCO (Race Manufacturing ) for 20+ years. selling RAMCO, they purchased the lease from the City of Sanford, FL for a then, seasonal and dilapidated "Mayfair Club". This included the course, clubhouse and all related facilities. completely threw all their efforts, heart and soul, family and, not to mention, an endless amount of money into the Club. In return, they were blessed with bringing back to life, the Golf Course and Clubhouse, to its original, twelve month a year, playable Par 72, Country Club. Owning the Club for 26 years, they never missed payroll. The IRS audited the couple twice. Twice, the IRS found out that they, the IRS, owed Jack and Alice Money. were always honest in their endeavors, and success, naturally, followed. Alice was an Air Force Veteran. She was the cool thinker who could handle all that came in a crisis. She was stationed at the Pentagon and Eglin AFB. She showed leadership qualities and could make tough decisions when she was called upon to do so. She held the second highest security clearance at “The Pentagon”. It was labeled “Cosmic Clearance”. Kinda’ fitting for her, huh?? In high school, she enjoyed playing Softball and Basketball. Later lifestyle sports included Golfing and Bowling and yes, FISHING!!! She was also somewhat of a NCAA sports fan. Her favorite TV events, when she got the opportunity, where watching “FLORIDA GATOR ANYTHING”. A generous woman, she always prized that quality in others. Politically, Alice was weary of all Politicians and was a Staunch Constitutionalist. Throughout her later years, Alice was a proud member of the “Fraternal Order of Eagles”. Travel and vacations were experiences that Alice truly enjoyed. She preferred to seek out casinos wherever she went and she was partial to vacations that were casual and laid back with an atmosphere of “live and let live.” She was willing to leave her plans open and flexible, just in case something more interesting came along. Favorite vacations included her various trips throughout the world. Alice was a lover of animals and cherished her pets.
