Obituary: Our beloved mother, Margaret Townsend Day, died peacefully on 21, 2017 at the home of her daughter, Margaret Day Magno of Midlothian, Virginia. She was born to Paul and Margie Townsend on 21, 1918 in Salisbury, Maryland where she remained through high school. She was very active in sports, including varsity basketball and winning numerous tennis and golf awards throughout her life. She attended Beacon Business before marrying William M. Day, also of Salisbury, in 1941. Margaret was a lifelong member of Asbury Methodist Church and was the church's longest living member. Margaret and Bill made multiple moves around the Midwest and Northeast before retiring and returning to the Eastern Shore in Berlin, Maryland. She was a kind, friendly, loving mother who enjoyed life and caring for her four children, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, and she will be greatly missed by all of them. Margaret is survived by her four children and their spouses, Margaret and Vince Magno of Midlothian, Virginia, Mary and Tom Wilkinson of Williamsburg, Virginia, Mollie and Bobby Cole of Navarre, Florida, and Bill and Kathy Day of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Amy Wilkinson, Jenny Wilkinson, Will Day, Corey Day, Taylor Day, and Vince Magno, as well as four great grandchildren, Sylvie, Townsend, Baxter, and Mabel, all of whom had the wonderful benefit of knowing her during her long life. There will be a memorial church service on , 25, 2017 at 12PM at Asbury Methodist Church preceded by a private interment at Parsons . Obituary: Jay R. Day, 60 years old, of New Castle passed away unexpectedly at home on , 12, 2014. Jay is survived by his wife of 29 years, Patricia Ann Day and their children Stephanie Noel, Nathan Jay Randolph, Courtney Elizabeth, Patricia Caitlyn, and Shannon Leigh; his adopted children Meghan Mangels and Dakota Disher, as well as many others. Jay had many nieces and nephews that he cherished, especially his little cowgirls Breanna and Baileigh. Jay had been going through extremely tough times and his almost daily visits with Jayden Rae Martin helped keep his spirits up. Jays parents Nathan Jay Randolph Day and Nancy W. Day (deceased) did an amazing job raising him. He has a sister, Nancy Diane Carver and three adopted brothers, Cedric Zopp, Robin Zopp, and Tony Zopp. He also had numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jay grew up visiting his grandmother Hazel who lived and farmed in West Virginia. He had a deep passion for farming and when the opportunity presented itself for him to farm, he jumped at it. Prior to his life as a farmer Jay taught Computer Operations and Programming at Computer Learning , which is where he met his wife. Most would say that Jay had an intimidating presence, but children loved him and saw him for the big teddy bear he really was. Jay sat on many Boards and was proud of the accomplishments that were made while he was part of them. Mountain Castle Soil & Water and the Farm Bureau boards were two he was especially proud to have served on. Jay was instrumental in the creation of the New Castle Christian Preschool, the Craig Public Library and the New Castle Medical . He had won several awards while farming, which he was especially proud. A Memorial Service will be held 5:00 PM , 18, 2014 at Grace Baptist Church, New Castle with Raymond Christian officiating.
