Obituary: I read the obituaries whenever I get a newspaper. Ive read with sadness and sympathy all these many years the stories of all your children and parents, and I understand. And now it is me and my familys turn. I hope for a few minutes you will join us while we celebrate the death of one we have loved. Michael Joseph Davis turned a young 38 in . What a year he put in! It was so stressful that he suffered a heart attack, triple bypass, and experienced failing kidneys as a result. Going along with that, he had general bad health with lots of pain. When he pulled through, we sighed with relief. He was born 19, 1970 in Payson, Utah. He always thought being born in Payson was a drag. Coming from a military family, he too wanted to be born in some exotic place, but he was our baby and we were settling down. Mike died the morning of the 23rd of . Just went to sleep and didn wake up. (Can ask for better than that.) He had four children from 2 marriages. His two boys, Sidney and Tyler have lived in Reno. This will be the first time in 10 years he will have seen them. He had a daughter and a son by Amy Wolfe, JaLynn and Mikayla, and his baby boy Quentin. He loved all of his children. He told me again last week, Im only happy when Im with my children. I know I said, Im the same way. I think most of us are. Mike was the last of 9 children, the first to go home. The two brothers are Douglas B. (Miriam) and Eric Walton (Sherry) and 6 sisters, Lydia Woolsey (Lars), Wendy Aragon (Mike), Janet Almond (Brock), Darian (Scott) Dellos, Christine (Mike) Hunter and Jamie Lynne Walton (Corianton). I am Barbara Jean Davis and his father is George Douglas Davis. We divorced in 1989 but we have made a strong effort to work together for the familys happiness. At the time of Michaels passing, (I like that term), he was returning to school and had just moved from Payson to Salt Lake City to work. He leaves our family with sorrowful hearts. He leaves us with his testimony of Christ in spite of his faults. His love was gentle, his service was well done. He had the most mischievous laugh. We giggled the other night at one of Jay Lenos jokes. It was a good time together. I miss him already, his back rubs, his blowing bubbles on my neck, yes, I even miss his temper. Thank God we will meet again. In that I have perfect faith. Thank you son, what a guy! There will only be one day to come to pay your respect and give freely of your love. It will be on , 29, 2008, in the Payson West Stake , 780 West 500 South, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and the funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Payson City . Obituary: Maxine Lorraine Davis, our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great, great grandmother and friend passed away 23, 2011. She was surrounded by her son and grandchildren, who deeply loved her. Maxine was born on 19, 1922 in South Haven, Kansas to J. Kelly Powelson and Viola Marie Harshman. Maxine married Clyde Rollins on May 20, 1939 and was later divorced. Maxine then married Robert (Bob) r Davis on 27, 1948. Maxine joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was sealed to Bob in 1968 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She was a devout member and did extensive genealogy. Maxine left a legacy of strength, hard work and a determination to live life to the fullest. She will always be remembered for her love of dolls, antiques and her beautiful garden. Whenever you visited Gram, you went away with a bouquet of flowers. Maxine and Bob carried on the legacy of farming when they started Davis Farms and produced some of the best fruit in Utah . She owned Quigleys Antiques and was always collecting. She loved to go rock and bottle hunting. Maxine was always ready to help and support her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob, her son, Kelly, and her siblings. She is survived by her son, Micheal G (Sally). Davis, her grandchildren, Michel (T. James) Ngatuvai, M. Daniel (Carin) Davis, Paul (Lilly Fritzel) Davis, Amanda (Randall) Godfrey, Sharon (Jason) Lloyd, Robert (Whitney) Davis and DeAnna Tilt Davis. Maxine had 19 great grandchildren (with one on the way) and 2 great, great grandchildren. Viewing: 28 at Walker Sanderson (646 East 800 North, Orem) from 6-8 p.m. services held in the Grandview 10th Ward (1850 West 1600 North, Provo) at 1 p.m., viewing 11:45 till 12:30.
