Obituary: Glen Lavon Davis May 6, 1940 – 27, 2013 On , 27, 2013, Glen Lavon Davis returned home to his loving Heavenly Father. Glen was born May 6, 1940 in Orem, Utah, the oldest child of Emanuel (Man) and Willa newell Davis. Glen graduated from Orem High School in 1958. He served a mission to the North Atlantic States Mission, where he met many wonderful people and became life-long friends with them. Glen grew up in Orem and would spend summers as a youth on his Aunt and Uncles farm in Tabiona, Utah, riding horses and enjoying his cousins. Glen belonged to the Orem 8th Ward as a youth and it was there he met the love of his life, Deanna Dimick. were married in the Provo Temple on 7, 1925. To this union was born a daughter, Heather. Heather and her father had a good relationship and enjoyed doing things together. Glen worked at Geneva Steel for 25 years as a welder until he retired in 1999 from the car shop. Glen had a great love of the gospel and was able to do much missionary work by his example while living in New York. He was always helping those that needed help. Glen is survived by his loving wife Deanna and their daughter Heather Casale, 3 grandchildren, Madison, Anthony and Alexander Casale. He is also survived by 3 brothers and 2 sisters and their spouses; Joan Bench (Tom) Spivey, Gayle (Lorraine), Michael (Jill), Gordon (Deslie Ann) and Wendy Davis (Fred) Pourbastani. One brother-in-law Joe (Becky) Dimick and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial was held in New York on , 1, 2013. There will be a viewing 6, 2013 at Walker Sanderson , 646 East 800 North, Orem from 6-8 pm. Services will begin , 7, 2013 at 1 pm in the Orem Sunset Heights 4th Ward chapel, 500 South 600 West. Friends may visit with the family prior to the funeral from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.walkersanderson.com. |

Obituary:  Gary “Slim” Davis passed away on the morning of May 28, 2010 at Utah Valley Regional Medical . He was 63 years old and lived in Orem, Utah. He was born 15, 1947 in Panquitch, Utah to Joseph Dwayne Davis and Verda Crawford Davis. He married Linda Joyce Long on Dec 21, 1964. had two children Troy Dwayne and Tracie Linn. “Slim” spent four years on the Aircraft Carrier USS Oriskany in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He raced stock cars on a dirt track in Pleasant Grove for many years. “Slim” loved to camp and travel with friends and family, and went on many long distance motorcycle trips. He enjoyed bowling and joined many bowling leagues. “Slim” was a hard worker, a very dedicated person and always willing to lend a helping hand. He put everyone before himself, was a very loving husband, devoted father, and a caring grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Troy and Tracie (Kevin Hortman), 4 grand children and 4 great-grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Beverly; a nephew and a niece. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on 3, 2010 at the Orem City . A viewing will be held , 2, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Walker Sanderson , 646 E. 800 N. Orem, and from 11:30 - 12:30 prior to the services on at the Walker Sanderson . |

Obituary: Fern Marie Gray Davis Fern Marie Gray Davis, loving mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, returned to her Heavenly Father and joined her husband on , 20, 2009, in Ogden, Utah. She died suddenly due to complications from pneumonia. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, May 11, 1934, to George Herbert Gray & LaVern Marie Goff. She married Ned B. Davis 23, 1953. For most of her life she lived in Murray, Utah where she raised her five children. She worked for many years at First Security Bank. serving a mission, they moved to Manti, Utah. While living in Manti she served as a temple worker for 10 years and worked at Manti High School as a teachers aide. She then moved to Orem so she could be closer to her family. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was her favorite past time. Some of Ferns hobbies were sewing, ceramics, collecting nativities, and baking bread. She was known for making the best German Chocolate cake ever. Fern was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints giving compassionate service to anyone in need. She served a mission with her husband in Detroit and was a temple worker in both the Jordan River and Manti Temples. She is survived by her children Russell Davis (Sherri), UT.; Alan Davis (Virginia), WA., Sheri Lyn Christensen (Bradley), UT., Marilyn Keil (Richard), UT., Merrill (Bruce), OR., and 22 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren. Siblings Bonnie Cambareri, RoseMary Chase, Mary Ann Hatton, Donald Pinkerton and Robert Pinkerton. She was preceded in death by her husband, and sister Dorothy Johansen. The family would like to thank the kind home health care providers from Love , as well as the staff at Courtyard Jamestown who helped Fern. services will be held at 12 p.m. , 25, 2009, at the Aspen 2nd Ward Chapel, 828 West 1600 North, Orem. Family and friends may call evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson , 646 East 800 North, Orem and from 11:00-11:40 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be held at the Redwood Memorial , 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan. |

Obituary: Faye Bradshaw Davis 02/03/24 - 09/10/10 "The greatest thing youll ever learn, is to love and be loved in return." Our beloved grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt and friend Faye passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was born 3, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Floyd S. and Jennie Chipman Bradshaw. Faye was married to her college sweetheart, Burt Davis on 6/14/46. spent 40 wonderful years together until his death on 12/26/85. had two sons, Greg and Steve. The saddest times of her life were the death of her husband and both sons, Greg on 6/14/01 and Steve on 4/26/04. Faye attended the U of U and was an active member of the Tri Delta Sorority. She was a member of the Salt Lake Country Club for 31 years. She volunteered services in Assistance League and many civic and social organizations. She was a loyal fan of U of U football and a tailgater for over 40 years. She was also a very enthusiastic Jazz fan. She loved bridge, golf, and having sing-alongs around her player piano. Faye had a positive attitude, a love for life, song, and flowers. In 1990, she began a renewed relationship with an old friend Bob McGregor. He was her dearest friend and loving companion in this new phase of her life. traveled extensively; cruises, Hawaii, and his Air Force and POW reunions. He preceded her in death by just 4 days. She is survived by 2 daughters-in-law, Peggy Davis and Shauna Davis, 3 granddaughters, Shelly Shoultes (Seth), Nicol Wells (Mike), Ashley Morfin (Isaac), 5 great-grandchildren, brother Howard Bradshaw, and sister Marge Taylor. A graveside service will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah on , 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held at the mortuary one hour prior to services. |
