Obituary: Vera Bell McEntire Doshier, 92, affectionately known as Aunt Bee, passed from this world into the hands of her Lord on 4, 2013, following a brief illness, in Hendrick Hospice. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Born May 21, 1920, in Iowa Park, Texas, she grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas, where she graduated high school at Wichita Falls High. She worked in the news industry until she married in 1952 and moved to Lubbock, Texas. She then worked for Devereaux, a division of Johnson and Johnson until her retirement. She was a lifelong crafter, whose patterns and projects were published. She will long be remembered for the personalized gifts and projects which she lovingly made for family and friends. Her gentle, calm spirit blessed the lives of everyone who knew her. She will long be remembered for her ability to give unconditional love, to accept people wherever they were in life, and as one who looked for and saw the good in everyone. People always talked about her sweet nature and disposition. She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Florence McEntire, her husband, Herman Doshier, and her sisters, Goldie Redding and Mary Hamilton, and stepson, Don Doshier. She is survived by her grandchildren, Danny Storch and wife, Joan, Southlake, Texas, Gay Storch, Diboll, Texas; great grandsons, Todd Storch, Coppell, Texas & Terry Storch, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews Kay Cochran and husband, Woodrow, Wylie, Texas, Bob Parkhill and wife, Nikki, Abilene, Texas, Cyndi OConnor and husband, Jim, Sugarland, Texas, Rick Parkhill, Wichita Falls, Texas, Patricia Langer and husband, Ken, Sugarland, Texas, plus numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Her step-daughter, Oleta Storch, followed Mrs. Doshier in death on 5, 2013. Joint services will be conducted for them at 1:00 PM in Lubbock, Texas, at Resthaven with burial at Resthaven . The family of Mrs. Doshier wishes to thank Dr. Robert Streigler, the staff of The Oaks at Radford Hills, and the Hen-drick Hospice for their care and concern during her illness. Obituary: John Alvin Doshier passed away 15, in Levelland. He was born in Whitharral, Texas on 20, 1929 to Thomas and Elsie Doshier. Alvin married Phyllis LaVohn Smith on 25, 1957 in Lubbock, Texas. graduating from Whitharral High School he joined the Army and was stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington for 2 years. When he returned, he worked with his father as a mechanic and was later employed by Whitharral Independent School District and retired after working as a mechanic for over 26 years. Alvin enjoyed working in his yard, fixing and making things. He also enjoyed camping and fishing in the mountains of Colorado with family and friends, and spending time outside. He is survived by his daughter Jodie Fortner and son-in-law Jerry Fortner of Levelland; granddaughter Julie Fortner of Lubbock; and brother Leroy Doshier and sister-in-law Jeanice Doshier of Whitharral, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Doshier of Whitharral; brother Don Doshier of Lubbock; sisters Frances Kilpatrick of Artesia, New Mexico; Velma Ruth Parker of San Angelo; and Janell Wells of Lubbock; and grandson Jerod Fortner of Levelland.
