Obituary: Mary Lou Bolton Dillard defeated Alzheimers disease when she went to meet her Lord and Savior on 18, 2014. Mary Lou, a native of Grand Prairie, TX was born to Luke and Ruby Bolton on 19. 1935. She met the love of her life, Wayne Dillard in high school, and they married 28, 1954. recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.Throughout her life, Mary Lou instilled many values on her family, the importance of a loving relationship with God, a life filled with loving family and friends, supporting each other,their children and grandchildren, rarely missing a school event, a sporting match, or an award ceremony she knew the impact of these actions and the love they expressed. She had a love of books and travel which she shared with her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. Always the social butterfly Mary Lou enjoyed parties and she hosted gatherings in her home. Mary Lou loved having her family close. She accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptized at 12, Mary Lou continued to follow the Lord's path,being very active at Matthew Road Baptist Church, with and the Preschool Academy at Westchester.Mary Lou was a life resident of Grand Prairie, TX. She was a bookkeeper by profession, worked for Xerox, Dillard , and Santec Industries which she retired from in 2000. The family wants to give a special thank you to Hollie Glover, for her work as Dementia Specialist with Alzheimer Association. She gave us a understanding of what was happening and what was to come. More than just a caregiver to us; without her wisdom, strength, emotional support, we would not have made it through the past three years. We cannot begin to express what a blessing her presence has been in our lives. We would also like to thank the nurses and aides who assisted at the extended care facility, the Isles of Watercrest in Mansfield, TX and Envoy Hospice. The compassion and dedication they demonstrated for Mary Lou and our family reminds us that our Lord is always watching out for us and that even in this difficult time angels walk among us. Obituary: Helen Marjorie Smith Jacobson Dillard Helen Marjorie Margie Smith was born on 22, 1928 in Austin, Texas. She grew up Rosedale on Ramsey Street when Shoal Creek was still outside the city limits. She attended Rosedale Elementary School, Baker Junior High, and the original Austin High School on Rio Grande when it was the only high school in Austin. From early on, Margie loved to dance, learning to tap dance when she was only four. Her love of music, nurtured by her mother extended to just listening to the music then playing the piano by picking out the notes. In high school, Margie was part of the Austin High School Glee Club where many of her lasting friendships were forged. In the area of academics, Margie also performed exceptionally well and graduated a full two years ahead of her class. Margies professional career was no less distinguished. Starting in a basic secretarial position at a local insurance agency she improved her profession skill to serve as assistant to the President for the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners (TIPRO), legal secretary and confidential assistant at Morgan Pearce, Fenner and Smith, and finishing her professional career when she retired after 20 years as Confidential Secretary and Executive Assistant to the President of the Texas/Oklahoma Local, Communications Workers of America (CWA). Margie also was an active member of the Tower Lights Chapter of the National Secretaries Association, serving as President on three separate occasions. Socially. Margie enjoyed people and having fun with groups such as the Austin Elks Club, Good Neighbor Sam Travel Group, and the Kingsberry Music group. Marge has traveled widely and seen much but her life was wholly devoted to her family. From father, mother, sister and brother thru two husbands and a fiancée, four children and nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren Margie had a uniquely special talent for treating each one as the special individual they were and giving a special of blend of wisdom, discipline and humor that helped shape and mold all of their lives. Margie is pre-deceased by her parents W.H. Daddy Bill and Gennvive Mama Dee Smith; brother Eugene T. Smith; husband E.R Buddy Jacobson Jr.; husband Howard Dillard, fiancée Vernon Webb. She is survived with love by her sister Mrs. H.H. She was born in Chattanooga Tennessee on 26, 1932 to Margaret and William Scruggs. 14, 1952 she married Jewell Charles Dillard, her high school sweetheart, shortly after he enlisted in the Air Force. Together they raised a family while traveling to several Air Force base transfers before settling in San Antonio in 1966. lived life to the fullest, making friends wherever they went, and passing on that, and other life's lessons to their family of seven boys and one girl. Marilyn is preceded in death by husband Jewell and son Jody. Obituary: Lillie Anna Dillard Lillie Anna Lehnhoff Dillard, a longtime resident of Seguin and Spurs fan, passed away , 9, 2014 at the Guadalupe Regional Medical in Seguin at the age of 94. She was born 26, 1919 to Fritz William and Frieda Paula (Garms) Lehnhoff in Needville, Texas. Lillie was a proud Texas woman, very active, competitive and athletic. She graduated from Seguin High School in 1938 and attended Texas Lutheran . While at TLC, she played on the Womens Basketball and Tennis teams. She was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Honor at TLC in 1987. Lillie was executive secretary to four presidents at TLC between 1940 and 1971. From 1973 to 1989, she worked as a secretary for the Texas Rehabilitation Commission. Since retirement, she was a dedicated volunteer with the RSVP Program at TLC and later at the Seguin Silver . She was a member of the Seguin Study Club for many years and served as president for a year. She sang in the Gemischter Chor Harmonie Singing Club in New Braunfels for several years and toured nationally with the group. She loved spending time with family and friends, playing cards, gardening and cooking. Lillie was devoted to her Christian faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church for many years. Lillie is survived by daughters Sharon Ann Wright Guthrie (Joe), Joan Cox Wright Collier (Michael), and daughter-in-law Janice May Dillard; grandchildren Joanna Thomas, Jennifer Guthrie, Courtney Steele, John Ryan Collier, Jeremy Boone and Shannon Vera; great-grandchildren Erin Thomas, Jacob Thomas, Collier Steele, Cash Steele, Kellan Collier, Allison, Christian, Anthony and Alexus Vera; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband John Cox Wright, son Pryor Dusty Dillard; brothers Kurt, Alfred, Fritz, and Henry Lehnhoff. Visitation will be held , 12, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Goetz . Obituary: SHERMAN - Larry Dillard, 65, passed away , 9, 2015 at Four Seasons in Durant, Oklahoma. service will be held at 2:00 P.M., , 16, 2015 at Chapel On The Hill, Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. Larry was born , 27, 1949 in Idabel, Oklahoma, the son of Hoyt R. Dillard and Jeane Qualls Dillard. He graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma University and taught school at Sherman High School. He was the owner and operator of Larry Dillard Medical Supply in Jenks, Oklahoma for 20 years and was a member of Family Prayer in Jenks. Larry is survived by his mother Jeane of Sherman; step-son Jay Eichler of Tulsa, Oklahoma; step-daughters Rhonda Boone, Tara Willis Hamlin and Kelly Nichols, all of Tulsa; brothers David Dillard of Sherman, Frank Dillard of Austin, Texas; sister Ann Brevard of Ft. Davis, Oklahoma and 6 grandchildren. |
