Obituary: D. R. Dietrich, 82, of Waco, passed away , 1, 2014. services will be 10am, , Sept. 6 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Krupicka officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood . Family will receive visitors 5-7pm , Sept. 5 at Connally/Compton . Mr. Dietrich was born on 4, 1932 in Ft. Worth, TX to Fred A. and Lillie (Hilscher) Dietrich. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. D.R. married Edna Wenzel on 22, 1959 in Rockdale, TX and they celebrated over 55 wonderful years together. He graduated from Waco H.S. and received a B.B.A.in Journalism from Baylor University. D.R. was a Professional Photographers of America award-winning photographer and the last surviving photographer of the Waco tornado. His early work was in television before beginning a 32-year career in the aerospace industry. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and Waco Kiwanis Seniors, and volunteered at Meals & Wheels and Habitat for Humanity. D.R. loved woodworking, photography, Roman History and traveling - especially to Italy. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Buford L. Dietrich; and brother-in-law, Wenzel. Survivors include his wife; Edna of Waco; son, Giddings Dietrich and wife Rosemarie of Austin; daughter, Jennifer Lee and husband Keith of Westphalia; granddaughters Bethani, Rachael and Regan Lee, all of Westphalia; sister-in-law, Gail Wenzel of Seguin; and special family Melaku and Tariqua Mekonnen. He will be greatly missed by his family and the many people whose lives he touched. Memorial gifts may be made to Lutheran Sunset Ministries, Meals & Wheels, and St. Matthew Lutheran Church. |

Obituary: Margaret Bonham Dietert entered our Fathers Kingdom on , 2, 2011. She was born 24, 1931 in Henrietta, OK to Enos Albert Bonham and Ethel Eversole Bonham, who preceded her in death. She was a direct descendant of James Bonham, one of the Heroes of the Alamo. Additionally, she was most proud of being a member of one of the pioneering Texas families. She was an elementary school teacher in SAISD, where she was instrumental in beginning the Gifted and Talented Program. Margaret was a member of the Coker United Methodist Church. Margaret is also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Lee Bonham. She is survived by her husband, Jerry M. Dietert; daughters, Cheryl Dietert and husband, Phil Head; Holly Dietert Edwards and husband, Mark Edwards; three grandchildren, Ben Edwards, Katie Edwards and Kim Head; brother, Enos Sonny Bonham, Jr. and wife, Elaine; nieces, Tracie, Vickie, Kaye, Gaye and their husbands and children. Obituary: Henry Fred Dietert passed away , 19th, at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels at the age of 77 years. Henry was born on May 29, 1936 to Armo E. Dietert and Cora Ella (Voss) Dietert at home in Zorn, Texas. Henry went to school at Dietert School. he graduated, he went to work as a welder for Ewald. He started a career as a mechanic for Bock Motor , Soechting Car , and finally Shop Superintendent for Comal where he retired. While working, he was also in the National Guard. Henry met the love of his life, Margie Fay Bierstedt and they married on 19, 1967. Henry had many hobbies, such as dancing, hunting, baseball, camping, fishing, bowling, BBQing, and butchering. He loved people and knew everyone well. Henry had an excellent memory and loved to tell stories. He loved old cars and loved family gatherings. Henry was proceeded in death by his parents, Armo E. Dietert and Cora Ella (Voss) Dietert, sisters, Dorene Dietert, Lorene Reininger; brother, James Lee Dietert; brother-in-law, Bill McDonald. Henry is survived by his loving wife Margie Fay Bierstedt Dietert, brothers, Armo G. Dietert, Douglas Dietert (Karen); sisters, Dorothy Haner (Ed), Caroline McDonald, Marilyn Knoll (Eddie), Vernell Miller (Stanley), and Barbara Tanneberger (Marshall), brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George Bierstedt (Irene) and brother-in-law, Ralph Reininger. Henry had many, many nieces and nephews, and many great, and great-great nieces and nephews. Henry had two surviving aunts, Elenora Voss and Myrtle Voss. Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM at Zoeller and will continue until 8:00 PM. Services will be held 10:00 AM , 23, 2014 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Seguin, Texas with Reverend Paul Zwarich officiating. Burial will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Obituary: William Bill Dieterich, 81, of Marlin, passed away , 8, 2017 at his residence. services will be 2:00 PM, , 11, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Reverend Robert Kitson officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest . The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on , 10th at Adams . Mr. Dieterich was born on 16, 1935 in Riesel, Texas to William F. and Emma K. Huber Dieterich. He married Betty Smith on 14, 1959 in Marlin and they celebrated over 38 wonderful years together until her death on 15, 1997. Mr. Dieterich loved to garden, play golf, and woodworking but his true love was his family. He was former Boy Scout Leader and coached his son in Little League Baseball. Mr. Dieterich was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Carl and Raymond Dieterich and sisters, Erna Mae Neumann and Lillie Neumann. Survivors include his son, Randy Dieterich; daughters, Rhonda McCormick and her husband, Lloyd, Regina Vice and her husband, Greg and Rozann Curry and her husband, Dean; grandchildren, Lesley Clurman and her husband, Ross, John Marc Curry and his wife, Kristen, Lindsey Rekieta, Kasey Logan and her husband, Kyle, Dani Dieterich, and James Curry and his fiancé, Caitlin Easterling; great grandchildren, Bryant McCaleb, Todd Logan, Kamryn, Kendall and Kourtney Curry and Miley Curry; brother, Wilburn Dieterich and his wife, JoAnn; special friend, Jane Dieterich and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
