Obituary: Linda Belle Miller Diebel, age 73, of Pflugerville, Texas, passed away on 1, 2015 in Austin, Texas. Linda was born in Boise, Idaho, on 14, 1942, to Clara H. Miller and William A. Miller. She spent her childhood in Boise, and graduated from Boise High School in 1960. Linda was one the youngest of five children. She obtained her RN at Methodist Hospital of Dallas, School of . Linda joined the U.S. Air Force in 1965 as an Operating Room Nurse, holding position of Captain. She was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force in 1974. several years of being a stay home mom, she went to work at Bailey Square Surgery in 1985. Linda was the OR Director for 25 years until she retired in 2010 to be with her four grandchildren. Linda was actively involved in Austin Area AORN and the Pflugerville Seniors organization. She loved Elvis, Regis, Jeopardy, Raspberries, Gone with the Wind, Shirley Temple, The Statler Brothers and choir music. She is survived by her sister, Betty Corn in Starr, Idaho; her daughters and their families, DaLynn & Shane Prather, Peyton and Brody Prather; Danielle & Pete Otero, Kendall and Kobi Otero of Pflugerville. She will always be remembered as an amazing friend, sister, nurse, mom and grandma. She will be in our hearts always and never forgotten. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate Lindas life. Obituary: Jeanita Samuel Diebel of Conroe, Texas, died 18, 2010. Nita Diebel was born 14, 1925 in Oil City, Louisiana to Joe Allen "Pop" Samuel and Marie Gandy Samuel. She graduated as valedictorian of Conroe High School in 1942. She earned a Bachelor of Music Education with a concentration in organ performance from Texas Womens and a Master of Arts from the University of Arizona. Nita taught music in public schools for twelve years. In 1954 Nita married her true love, Kenneth L. Diebel, and the couple was blessed with two daughters, Kay and Ann. Kens career with Exxon took the family to Houston, Tyler, Dallas, Libya, London and Norway. Ken retired from Exxon in 1983, they returned home to Conroe. Nita was a lifelong learner with a passion for culture and the arts. She was active in many organizations including the Petroleum Wives Club of Stavanger (Norway), the Pan-American Round Table of Conroe and the Montgomery Performing Arts Society. She played the organ for many churches in Conroe and for Union Church of Tripoli, Libya. Her love of travel took her to places as diverse as Rome, Ghadames, Leningrad and Shanghai. Nita was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Lois Hennessy. She is survived by husband Kenneth L. Diebel of Conroe, daughter Kay Diebel Brock and husband Brad of Austin, daughter Ann Diebel Lutsch and husband Keith of Houston, grandchildren Alex, Rita and Kenny Brock, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family is grateful to the staff of Unlimited for their help and support in recent months. Memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery Food Bank, 111 S. 2nd Street, Conroe Texas 77301 or St. Johns United Methodist Church, 2140 Allandale Road, Austin Texas 78756. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Metcalf . The funeral services will be 2:00 PM 22, 2010, at Metcalf , 1801 E. White Oak Terrace, Conroe, Texas 77304. Obituary: Frank Henry Diebel, Jr., 95, of Port Lavaca, Tx passed away , 23, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving wife and family. Frank was born May 10, 1922 in Victoria, Tx to Frank Henry Diebel, Sr. and Lula (Smith) Diebel. Frank and his sister Mary Louise (Diebel) Black spent their early childhood years in Houston, Tx and then later moved to Victoria. Frank graduated from Patti Welder High School where he played basketball and was a member of the Stingarees 1939 Regional Championship Football Team. He attended Victoria Jr. . He served in the Army during WWII as a Staff Sgt. in the Signal Corps. And was stationed in New Guinea and the Philippines. Upon returning, he worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in Victoria. In 1950 he became a Gulf Oil Distributor that eventually became Diebel Oil Co. Inc. in 1980. He married the love of his life Sammye Claire (Tisdale) Diebel on 26, 1949 in Port Lavaca. Frank was an avid golfer. He loved traveling and working in the yard. His quick wit and deep chuckle made him many friends. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and elected Elder, a founding member of Hatch Bend Country Club, VFW Post 4403, and was instrumental in organizing Little League Baseball in Port Lavaca and served as its first President. He served on the Memorial Medical Hospital Board, First National Bank Board, President of Calhoun-Victoria Foreign Trade Zone, and Calhoun Navigation District as chairman and commissioner. He was a 60-yr. member of the Rotary Club and was the recipient of the Paul Harris Award. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Sammye Claire (Tisdale) Diebel; his children and spouses, Susan Diebel, Sam and Nancy Diebel, and Sarah and Dan Krueger. His grandchildren and their spouses are Jason Krueger (Courtney); Kyle Krueger; Faye Davis (Danny); Frank Hahn Diebel (Andrea). His great-grandchildren are Keileigh and Connor Krueger, Liesl and Lillian Davis, and Emma and Ellie Diebel. Also surviving are sister-in-law, Olivia Cragin; brother-in-law, Samuel Tisdale; cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister Mary Louise Black; his half brother John A Terrell; and his loving uncle and aunts. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on , 27, at First Presbyterian Church - Port Lavaca followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 10:30 officiated by Pastor Chuck Kimball. Interment will follow at the Port Lavaca . Memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Hospice of South Texas, or charity of choice.
