Obituary: Edythe Marguerite Bennett Denny, 88, of Corpus Christi, a loving and caring mother peacefully left this life to be with our Lord in Heaven 22, 2014, with her family by her side.

She was born in the Webb Community 6, 1926, to the late Harry and Alice Bennett. She was a Baptist. Edythe had a very long career as an operating room nurse starting in Houston working with Dr. DeBakey and retiring after 20 plus years from Doctors Hospital in Corpus Chrisit. Edythe loved walking the beach and collecting shells for her lamp projects.

She is survived by her daughters, Margie Koehl (Robert) of Conroe, Ann Denny of Round Rock, sons, James Denny (Lynn) of Montgomery, Ray Denny of Canyon Lake, Doug Denny (Staci) of Bastrop; thirteen grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Wallace Bennett, and grandson, Captain Rowdy J. Inman.


A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00pm on , 12, 2014 at Marrs-Jones-Newby in Bastrop, TX.

Cyril Clayton Bunk Denny, 95, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away 7, 2012.He was born 15, 1917, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the youngest son of the late Margaret G. and John T. Denny. He was the sixth born of seven siblings. Bunk graduated a year early from Baton Rouge High School in 1933. high school he worked his family farm and other jobs before he attended Louisiana State University where he earned a B.S. Degree in Geology in 1938. graduation, he went to work for Standard Oil in Venezuela (now Exxon Mobile) and Continental Oil in Lafayette (now Conoco). On 17, 1942, he married the love of his life, Margaret Hill. He enlisted in the Army in 1942 and achieved the rank of Captain with the 261st Army Air Corps Unit. He served in the Air Corps for four years where he took aerial photographs and trained pilots to prepare for combat in WWII. he was honorably discharged from the Army in 1946, he went to work for Chevron Oil in New Orleans, LA, and later moved to the Chevron Headquarters in Denver, Colorado. Bunk retired from Chevron Oil in 1977 as Chief Development Geologist, Western Division after 30 years with the company. Bunk spent much of his free time hunting big horn sheep, antelope, game birds, and fishing in the Rocky Mountains. He also spent many summer days playing golf throughout the Denver area and his winter days on the slopes of Loveland where he skied regularly. He also trained Field Trial Champion Weimaraners and was an avid rose gardener who loved to share his life story and a dozen of his roses with everyone he met. He spent the past 20 years with family in San Antonio where he continued to garden. His daughter Charlotte D. Canaday of San Antonio; grandchildren, Robey and Amy Canaday of Dallas, and Margaret Canaday of Edmond, OK; and sister, Melrose Willie of Baton Rouge; and numerous nieces and nephews, survive him. His wife, Margaret Hill Denny; his parents, and his five older siblings preceded him. A private ceremony will be held to scatter the remains of Mr. and Mrs. Denny at Mount Evans in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado where they both loved spending time together. The family would like to thank The Forum at Lincoln Heights and Odyssey Hospice for their care and attention.

Obituary: 5, 1930 - 18, 2015

Bill Denny has attained his heavenly reward of life everlasting. Bill was born in Jacksboro and grew up in Graham, Texas. He was the younger son of Ross and Iris Campbell Denny, who proceeded him in death, as did his brother Glenn. He entered the University of Texas in 1947, and was a member of the Longhorn Band for four years. He graduated in 1951 with a degree in Business Administration.

In 1952 Bill joined the Air Force and his four years as a Fighter Pilot in the 317th Squadron helped define the rest of his long and happy life. He delighted in flying his various airplanes for many years.

Bill was the owner of Denny Business Forms for 48 years and in retirement was involved in real estate.

Survivors of this good and honorable man are his wife, Beverly Fife Denny, daughters Beverly Polan, Janna Hardwicke and husband Bruce, Lynan Formby and Anne Denny Alaimo and husband Kevin. He delighted in grandchildren Shawn Polan, Bevan Polan, Christian Foree, Rebecca Foree, Jake Formby and Evan Alaimo, and great-grandchildren Brock and Abby Polan. Also, three nephews - Steve, Phil and Mark Denny and cousins Ed Waynick, Iris Gail Hatfield, Roberta Campbell and Robert Crawford.

The lessons he taught us by example will always honor his name.

Burial Services are at DFW National . A memorial service will be at Parkway Hills Baptist Church, 2700 Dallas Parkway, Plano, at 3:30 , 23, 2015. Visitation will be at Ted Dickey West , 7990 George Bush Tollway, Dallas, on , 22, from 6-8 pm.

Memorial donations may be made to Parkway Hills Baptist Church Mission Ministries, in memory of Bill Denny.

Obituary: Ida Jeweline Beam Brooks Denniston (Jewel Denniston), of Marble Falls, TX went to be with her maker on , 09, 2014, at the age of 89. Born in Wichita Falls, TX in 1924 to Clyde L. and Emma Mae Tatom Beam, Jewel was the oldest of seven siblings.

Jewel married Henry Brooks in 1939 at the age of 15. went on to have four sons before Henrys death in 1980. Henrys death, Jewel remarried in 1983, and spent 28 happy years with Jim Denniston, who passed in 2011. Jewels pride and joy has always been serving the Lord and her family, and she has spent many years as a devoted Christian, mother, wife, grandmother and friend to all.

She is preceded in death by her parents Clyde L. and Emma Mae Tatom Beam, late husband Henry Brooks, late husband Jim Denniston, and brothers Elmer Beam and Lester Smith.

Jewel is survived by her four sons, Wilburn Brooks and wife Cora of Kingsland, TX, Jimmy Brooks and wife Pam of Menard, TX, Larry Brooks and wife Susie of Weatherford, TX, and Royce Brooks of Marble Falls, TX. She also leaves behind an outstanding legacy that includes 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Obituary: Zed was born May 18, 1932 in Hyer, West Virginia. His mother died in childbirth and Zed was sent to live with his maternal grandmother until her death. When he was 12, Zed moved to Houston to live with an uncle and aunt. In the 10th grade at Jeff Davis High School, Zed met the love of his life, Una Mae Haywood. While in school he worked weekday afternoons at a grocery store as a sacker and on weekends and summers as a plumber's helper.
In 1951, Zed joined the Navy where he attended electrical engineering school which changed the course of his life. He served as a crewman in helicopter squadron HU-1, the most decorated squadron in the Korean War. The movie "Bridges at Toko Ri" is about his squadron. While home on leave, Zed and Mae were married on 26, 1952. Four years later, he was honorably discharged. settled in Houston, and Zed joined Electro Tech Labs and began his career in the geophysical industry. Zed was a member of the National and Local Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
During his many years in the geophysical industry, with several different companies, Zed traveled all over the world making many lifelong customers and friends. In 1988, Zed retired and joined his wife and his youngest son Ted in TMJ Enterprises. In retirement he enjoyed attending meetings of the Shamrock Literary Society, a gathering of the great minds of the Geophysical industry that took place every Wed and for lunch, cocktails and the swapping of stories. Meetings were held at the Shamrock Inn, also known as Jurassic Park because of all the old dinosaurs who hung out there.
Throughout his life, Zeds number one priority was loving and taking care of his family, spending as much time with them as possible - boating, camping, water-skiing, and Scouting.
On 5th, 2015, Zed died peacefully and was welcomed in heaven by his mother, Mildred and father, Zed Albert Dennison, as well as his best friend, Jack Anderson. Zed is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mae; son Robert and his wife Mary; son, Jack; son, Ted and his wife Doreen; granddaughter, Dr. Lisa Dennison and her husband Dr. Jeff Woodruff; grandson, Dylan Brown and his wife Lansing; granddaughters: Dorrie Dennison and Perrie Dennison, grandson, Ross Dennison; and great grandchildren: Chloe Brown, Maddy Brown and Dallas Brown.
Visitation will be , 15, 2015 from 1-2pm with Services to be held at 2pm at the Family Chapel of Brookside . Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
