Obituary: Jacob DeLeon, 42, of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully on , 22, 2017. He was born on 22, 1974 in Lubbock, Texas. He graduated from Pflugerville HS in 1993 and graduated from The University of Texas in 1997 with a BA in government. He attended George Washington Law School in DC and received his law degree May 2002. Jacob was a great father to his son, spiritual, intelligent, confident, athletic , and had the ability to engage and forge a relationship with anyone. He was also an exceptional attorney and his love of people led him to represent those that others wouldn't. Jacob accomplished a lot in his short life but encountered difficulties and illness that he could not overcome. His love for God and his family was not enough to pull him through. We pray that the sorrow that we feel will lessen with time and be replaced with only good memories of his time on this earth. As Jacob would often say, "there it is!" He is survived by his son, Durban Jacob DeLeon; mother, Christine Harper and husband Jimmy; father, Samuel DeLeon; step-sister, Jill Harper; step-brother, Jess Harper and half-brothers, Anthony and Samuel DeLeon. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., , 26, 2017 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks . Service will be at 1:30 p.m., , 27, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, 500 W. Pecan St., Pflugerville. Obituary: HECTOR DELEON, age 75, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away on , May 19, 2014, after a long illness. Hector was born in San Antonio, Texas, to Juan and Emelia Abraham DeLeon, and graduated from Breckenridge High School. He was also a United States Navy Veteran and a graduate of St. Marys University in San Antonio. graduation, Hector worked in the computer industry as a systems analyst and computer salesman and retired from Hewlett-Packard as a District Sales Manager. In retirement, he enjoyed playing golf, taking long walks, reading, and spending time with his cats Fats and Max. Hector was very enthusiastic about his volunteer work at Texas Childrens Hospital, where he received his five year pin for service. He was a hardworking, generous man with a great sense of humor, who especially enjoyed his family get-togethers. Hector is survived by his devoted wife of forty-six years, Gloria Henderson DeLeon; and his two sons, Carlos DeLeon and wife Tami, and Michael DeLeon. He is also survived by three sisters; three brothers; and numerous much loved, nieces and nephews. The family wishes to acknowledge all the kind staff and nurses at Silverado Senior Living and Silverado Hospice, who helped look after Hector. Each and every one was compassionate and dedicated to the highest degree. also wish to recognize the care and support of family and friends over the years, especially niece, Emily Parent and husband John; brother, Juan Humberto DeLeon and wife Martha; sister, Esperanza Barrera; and niece, Becky Barrera.
