Obituary: Weldon T. deBlanc, Jr., age 87, passed away on , 21, 2016. Beloved father of Louie deBlanc, Tommy deBlanc, Paul deBlanc (wife, Carol), Julee deBlanc (husband, Paul) and Pierre deBlanc. Grandfather of Jason, Jaime, Meghan, Tess, Nathan, Nicholas, Hannah, Kristina, Ryan and Hailey. Great grandfather of Evie, Caden and Sawyer. Son of the late Weldon T. deBlanc, Sr. and Lucie Dugas deBlanc. Brother of the late Shirley Mire, Michael deBlanc and Joyce Dixon. Mr. deBlanc was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired employee of Texaco and Getty Oil and was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Kenner, LA and Our Lady of Divine Providence Church in Metairie, LA. Mr. deBlanc was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved all sports, but was especially a huge fan of the Saints, LSU Tigers and Green Bay Packers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan , 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on , 26, 2016 beginning at 11:00 AM with a Mass to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan s chapel. Obituary: Leopold J. DeBlanc, 90, of Groves, Texas passed away , May 6, 2017, at Serenity Assisted Living. Mr. DeBlanc was born 25, 1926, in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Louis Paul DeBlanc and Laurance Comeaux DeBlanc. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mr. DeBlanc also retired from Gulf Oil. He, along with his late wife, Marguerite enjoyed camping and traveling. Mr. DeBlanc is survived by his son, Steve DeBlanc; daughters, Pat Dudley and husband, Wayne, Jane Hardin and husband, James, Lucy Simpson and husband, Garland and Joan Surko and husband, Frank. Mr. DeBlanc also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren to cherish his memories. A Special Thanks to Serenity Assisted Living for the love and care they provided to Mr. DeBlanc and his family. In lieu of flowers a Memorial Contribution in memory of Mr. Leopold DeBlanc may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; 4100 Lincoln Avenue, Groves, Texas 77619. A gathering of friends and family will be held , May 8, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., , May 9, 2017, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. |
