Obituary: Roy L. Davis Roy Davis, age 89 of Odessa, TX passed away , 5, 2014 at Medical Hospital. He was born on 27, 1925 in Bolivar, Missouri to Roy Lee Davis and Zola Dunaway. Roy served his country as a Marine during World War II. He served in the 4th Division on Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima. his military service he graduated from Columbia Bible in South Carolina. He was a Baptist Minister in Hawaii, Missouri and in Iowa. In Iowa he later became a Administrator. He was married for 55 years to Shirley Davis, and 12 years to Sharon Mearse Davis. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 5 sisters. Roy is survived by his wife Sharon Mearse Davis of Odessa, TX, Sons; Stephen Davis of Prescott, AZ, Michael and wife Karen Davis of Sachse, TX, Timothy and wife Imee Davis of the Philippines, and Mark and wife Dee Davis of Sunrise, FL, Step-daughters; Lanice Hardin of Odessa, TX, Denise and husband Rodney Redman of Odessa, TX, and Teresa and husband Mark Rotramel of Lumberton, TX. He is also survived by one sister Lucy Davis from Ash Grove, Missouri and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on , 8, 2014 from 6pm-8pm at Frank W. Wilson . A funeral service will be held , 9, 2014 at First Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with Byron McWilliams and Curtis Brewer officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Directors. |

Obituary: Mrs. Davis was a fourth generation Texan, the youngest of four children born in Strawn, Texas, to Kate Vernon and Henry Paul Manns, She moved to Palo Pinto, Texas, where her mother was county treasurer. She received her education at Mineral Wells High School, Midwestern University, SMU, and North Texas University where she received a degree in English History. She was a teacher of government and history in Dublin and Wichita Falls before moving to Dallas in 1973. She was employed by Placid Oil for ten years as an in-house landman and manager of Lease Records and Division Order. She was a member of Brookhaven Country Club and enjoyed golf and the friends she met playing the game. Rosemary had two holes-in-one as luck would have it. Rosemary had a lifelong passion for words, loved dictionaries and puzzles. Her travels took her many places and she particularly enjoyed those with her grandchildren, Rosemary Lauren and Clinton Glosup, to London and Paris. Her daughter, Christina Glosup, sister Ann Dana, and husband Jack also indulged her love of travel. Jack let her look at all the castles she wanted until the sun went down and the restaurants closed. She met and married Jack Davis in 1977 with whom she had immediately fallen in love. Rosemary and Jack were happily married for 36 years. She is survived by her five children, Michael Davis of Denton, Mitchell Davis of Houston, Rickard Davis of Albuquerque NM, Christina Glosup of Dallas, and Stephen Servies of Vail CO; 7 grandchildren, Carrissa, Colin, Clair, and Kira Davis, Rosemary Lauren Magill, Clinton Marshall Glosup, and Tina Milligan; 6 great grandchildren, Devin Christine, Jaidlyn Estella and Marlee Reese Magill, Marshall Elias, Jaxson Erick Glosup, and Madison Milligan. She is also survived by two brothers, Paul Manns of Arizona, and Malcolm Manns of Odessa. Memorial services for Rosemary will be on , 2, 2014 at Church of the Holy Communion 17405 Muirfield Dr, Dallas, Texas at 2:00 pm. |

Obituary: Rosemary Davis of Plano, Texas was born on 23, 1932 in Rochester, NY and died 6, 2013. Rosemary is predeceased by her parents Carl and Mary (Rivoli) Giangreco. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Donald Davis, daughter Laura Stone and husband Robert of Garland, Texas; son Paul Davis and wife Kim of Lubbock, Texas; and son Michael Davis and wife Kimmy of Denver City, Texas. Rosemary is also survived by grandchildren Lauren, Lawrence and Lindsey Glass, Ryan Davis and John Michael Davis; sister Dorothy Bianchi and numerous nephews and nieces. Rosemary received her Bachelor's Degree from Brockport State Teacher's and her Master's degree from Syracuse University. She taught high school history and english for 4 years before staying at home to raise her three children. Rosemary was very involved in both school and community activities and always played an active part in her children's lives. She went into real estate and remained involved until her retirement. A devoted Catholic, Rosemary was very involved with The Rosary Makers Group of St. Mark and looked forward to her monthly luncheons with her "Liver and Onions" group, which was made up of all her real estate friends. Travel across the United States and abroad; especially Italy, created many memories through out her life. A life long interest in education, sports and those around her provided all of us with many interesting stories and conversations. We will all miss our beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Her strength, wisdom and unconditional love have been the back bone of our family. She touched many lives and will never be forgotten. A Rosary is scheduled for 5:30 pm Thursay (12/12/13), at Ted Dickey , where a Visitation will continue from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Mass will be celebrated on , 12/13/13 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church in Plano. Interment will follow in the Plano Mutual . |
