Obituary: Joe David Davis, 75, passed away on May 27, 2015 in Texas City, Texas. Joe was born 25, 1940 in Centralia, Illinois, to the late Lola and Fred Davis. Joes family moved to Bay City, Texas in 1941, then on to Houston, Texas, where Joe graduated from Bellaire High School in 1957. Joe attended the University of Texas at Austin, taking time off to serve in the Texas Air National Guard and the United States Air Force Reserve from 1963-64 before being honorably discharged. In 1965, Joe graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. He began his engineering career with Robishaw Engineering in Houston, Texas, and then joined Belmas in 1966. In 1972, Joe made his final career move to Fluor. Joes distinguished career with Fluor took him to various regions around the world, including a two year stint with his family in London, England. Back in Houston, Joe assumed the role of Vice-President and General Manager of Fluors Houston Operations in 1988, spending 3 years in the role he called his most rewarding before moving to , WA as President of Fluor Daniel Northwest. Joe retired in 1999 to enjoy his true passions: family, friends and fishing. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 50 years, Anne Davis; son David Davis and wife Dianna; son Mark Davis and wife Christa; and three grandchildren, John, Michael and Emma. Memorial services will be held 11, 2015 at 10 am at Memorial Drive Methodist Church, 12955 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77079, with a reception to follow immediately afterward. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 at Memorial Oaks , 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079. To honor Joe, his family is establishing an endowed scholarship for engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. Obituary: Nathaniel Joseph Davis passed away 6, 2014. He was born 22, 1919 in Fort Scott, Kansas to George W. Davis and Laura Clay Davis. He graduated from Fort Scott High School and joined the Army in 1940, having attended Fort Scott Jr. and the University of New Mexico. Joe was in the Army Engineers and with 168 men went to Massachusetts to train for the Amphibians Command and boat and shore regiment in 1940. He was wounded while making a beach landing at the battle for Burma Island in Papa New Guinea when he was hit on his legs and returned to the United States in 1942. Joe and his family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he worked for the IRS for 35 years. He then moved to Rockport, Texas and worked as a consultant for the Corpus Christi State Bank for numerous years. He met and married Josie Davis in 1993. traveled all over the United States in their RV. then moved to Marble Falls, Texas in 1998 and became members of St. Peters Lutheran Church. He has been active as Usher and Greeter at St. Peters and helping when needed as a helper in Altar Guild. He is survived by his wife Josie and two daughters Sandra Jo Moss and Jane Thomas, Matthew J. Davis, Clarence Ted Symank, three grandchildren David and Norman Hays, Chris Thomas and two great grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters Marie Hill, Marjorie Thomas, and Gladys Knapp. service will be held 9, 2014 at 10:00 am at Clements-Wilcox in Marble Falls. He later joined Alcon Laboratories in Fort Worth, where he served as vice president and controller of the Ophthalmology Division. his retirement, he was honored with membership in Alcons Hall of Fame. He was a member of the Episcopal Church. He was an officer in the Arlington Genealogy Society and the Arlington Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. He served as a city of Pantego councilman and was a charter founder of the Arlington ISD Foundation. Joe was a smart and gentle man, loved and fondly remembered by many who knew him. Obituary: Jody (Schrock) Davis was born on 7th, 1958 to parents Jack and Joan Schrock, and died 29th, 2017. She was born in Denver, Colorado, but spent her early childhood in Mississippi and Miami, before moving with her family to Sherman, Texas in 1969. There she and her loving family were very active in the Episcopal Church, and were an important piece of a tight knit community. She had two brothers, John and Joel, who both looked up to their older sister. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a Fulbright Scholarship to study at the University of Wurzburg, in Germany. returning to the United States, Jody lived in Dallas and worked at Texas Instruments, where she met her husband James Davis in 1983. began dating a year later and quickly realized they wanted to spend their lives together. In of 1985, they married and moved to Mesquite where they had two children, Jessica and Joshua Davis. Her love for them was unmatched, and she worked tirelessly to facilitate their hobbies, activities, and happiness. In Mesquite, Jody began the career that became her passion: teaching. She taught high school level German and Economics in the Mesquite School District for 20 years, and touched the lives of every student she encountered. Her friends, colleagues, and students from the district became an extended family for her, and the love she felt for all of them was apparent to everyone. As the Foreign Language Department Chair for Mesquite High, she was more than just a participant; she was a driving force and worked very hard to ensure only the best education for all her students. Jodys interests included cycling, the Texas Rangers, gardening, her book club, camping, creative cooking, and travelling. She was an active member of the congregation at Our Savior Lutheran, and maintained a plot in the community garden that she helped start, with her dear friend Julie Williams. She loved to spend her time off with her husband, James. would travel with their children in their camper, and enjoy nature together as a family. Jody was preceded in death by her mother Joan, and her brother John. She is survived by her father Jack, her husband of 32 years, James, her brother Joel, and her children Jessica and Joshua. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Baylor Scott & White Hospital Sunnyvale for their extraordinary care of Jody in her final days, including but not limited to: Annie, Cami, Jackie, Jo, Lalaine, Mara, Marilou, Mary, Melanie, Melody, Miriam, and Pearl. Their attention to detail and sense of personal responsibility were especially noteworthy. A memorial service will be held for Jody at 7pm, , 2nd, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 411 N Town E Blvd, Mesquite, TX 75150.
