Obituary: Robert Virgil Darbonne, age 85 of Georgetown, Texas passed away on May 13, 2015. He was born 29, 1929 in Oberlin, Louisiana to Elmer and Bertha (Guillory) Darbonne. Robert worked as a Supervisor for Texaco in Port Arthur, Texas for 35 years until his retirement in 1985. He married Elizabeth DeRosier on 9, 1952. Robert was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Georgetown. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Darbonne; daughters: Sandra Spurlock and Sharon Leath; sons: Greg Darbonne and Thomas Darbonne; grandsons: Chris Spurlock and Cody Darbonne; granddaughters: Sarah Spurlock, Stella and Charlotte Leath; four sisters and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. A recitation of the Rosary will be held on , May 16, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ramsey with a visitation to follow. Obituary: Services for Lizzie Bourque Darbonne, 98, of Hudson; previously of Eunice, Louisiana, will be held at 10:00 a.m. , 19, 2015 at the Garden of Memories Memorial Park, 5205 S. First Street, in the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Darbonne was born May 1, 1917 in Mamou, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Jean and Marie Fontenot. She had resided in Hudson since 2003 with her daughter, Brenda. She passed away , 15, 2015 in a local hospital. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a devoted homemaker and adored her family; she greatly enjoyed cooking for them. Lizzie was a member of the Catholic faith. She will be greatly missed by her daughters: Dean Bristow of Cleveland, Brenda and husband Doug Loken of Hudson. Grandchildren: Larry Fontenot, Lisa Wilkerson, Tracey Schramm, and Elizabeth Waters; 15 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and brother Dudley Fontenot of Washougal, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Regis Bourque and Elric Darbonne; brothers, Bertie Fontenot and Shirley Fontenot; sisters, Regina Fuselier, Grace Winn, Hazel Manual, Marie Louise Fontenot, and Mrs. Theogene Fontenot. The family would like to offer a special thanks to K & K and the staff of the 4th floor of CHI St. Lukes Memorial Hospital in Lufkin. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. evening 18, 2015 at the funeral home.
