Obituary: Gordon Calvin Dalton, 96, of San Angelo, went to join his Lord and Savior on , 16, 2016. He was born 13, 1919, in Millersview, Texas, to r and Sallie Gertrude Hurt Dalton. Gordon married Florence "Baby" Healy on 23, 1946, in San Angelo, Texas, and they celebrated their 69th Anniversary several weeks before she passed away on 19, 2015. were members of First Presbyterian Church, where they both enjoyed the love of their Church family for many years. Gordon enlisted in the United States Army on 6, 1940 (Ft. Crockett, Texas) and was stationed in the Panama Canal for two years during WWII, proudly serving his country until 27, 1945. He returned to San Angelo and married the love of his life, Florence "Baby" Healy. He was employed at Gandys Creamery for 37 years, and after he retired he began his second career as Ranch Foreman for Dr. Roy Glass and Robert "Bodey" Langford. He truly enjoyed the great outdoors, working the ranch, and time spent with the Glass family. Gordon was a founding member of over 50 years at the American Legion, Post 32, where he served as Commander in 1966, 1967, and 1968. Gordon, along with fellow American Legion brethren, were instrumental in developing the Veterans section of Belvedere for the interment of veterans needing a final resting place. He was also a member of the Knights of the Round Table and the Lions Club. Gordon spent countless hours with Baby at both the West Texas Boys Ranch and Mended Hearts. Gordon and Baby loved to dance and were members of La Paloma Dance Club. also enjoyed square dancing, hunting, and participating in the Rattlesnake Round-Up for many years. His many hobbies included collecting spurs, arrowheads, and studying the history of Texas. His most enjoyable pastime in recent years has been attending " Morning Breakfast Club" gatherings with his dearest friends. Gordon was blessed with many special friends he cherished at the Rio Concho Terrace. He was preceded in death by his wife, Baby; parents; four brothers and one sister. Survivors include his sister-in-law, Nancy Woodard, Denton, TX; brothers-in-law, Charles Dennis, San Angelo, and Jessie Woodard, Sweeny, TX; as well as generations of nieces and nephews, whom he and Baby loved dearly. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on , 21, 2016 at the Johnson's , San Angelo. services will be held at 10:00 AM, , 22, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church, San Angelo with Rev. Bill Proctor officiating. Military honors will follow in the Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, San Angelo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the givers charity of choice. Pallbearers are Robert Allison, Gilbert Colmenero, Jerry Cornelius, Kelly Eaves, Rex Enochs, and Robert Bodey Langford. Obituary: DALTON Frank S. Dalton, age 75, born 26, 1929 died 22, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Lamm Dalton; daughter Ann Dalton McRae and husband Tock, son Steve and wife Julie, and five grandchildren, Lindy and Kathleen McRae; Taylor, Hunter and Lexi Dalton. He is also survived by a brother; Ted Dalton and wife Rosemary; sister-in-law Loretta Lyden and sister-in-law Vonnie Dalton. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Marie Dalton, his parents, Harry and Kathryn Dalton and his brother Joe Dalton. He was the Trane Commercial Air Conditioning franchise holder for Southwest Texas from 1958 until his retirement in 1985. An avid golfer, boater and outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting in Texas, New Mexico and Colorado and deep sea fishing at Port Aransas, Baja, California and Alaska. He had a private pilotÂs license and he flew his Cessna 210 to Alaska, the Bahamas and throughout the United States. When he retired, he gave up flying for riding motorcycles and he enjoyed riding throughout Texas and in the mountains of Colorado. In younger years he was a member of the Power Squadron boating organization, the Rotary Club, the Town Club and Oak Hills Country Club. He was a loving husband, a good friend and a devoted father who cherished his grandchildren. |

Obituary: Florence Baby Dalton, 92, passed away , 19, 2015. Baby was born 24, 1922, in Wortham, Texas. She married Gordon Dalton, 23, 1946, in San Angelo, Texas and they just celebrated their 69th Wedding Anniversary. Baby was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and baked the bread for the communion service for approximately 10 years. She had great faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and tremendous love for all of her family. She retired from Monarch Tile after 28 years. She was past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, and was active in the Lions Club Auxiliary, Boys Ranch, and Mended Hearts. Baby was a fabulous cook and enjoyed hosting family gatherings. She was always ready to give a helping hand to everyone who needed her. She loved to dance. were members of La Paloma Dance Club and enjoyed many years of square dancing. Her earlier years with Gordon were filled with various activities such as hunting, fishing, collecting arrowheads, and even hunting rattlesnakes. Baby was preceded in death by parents, Frank Healy, Sr., and Ophelia McMillan Healy, and sisters, Earline Eaves and Gladys Dennis. Survivors include husband, Gordon, brother, Frank Healy, Jr., sister, Nancy Woodard, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM , 21, 2015, at Johnsons . service will be at 10:30 AM, , 22, 2015, at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Bill Proctor with burial following in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Obituary: Eric Neil Dalton, 67, passed away 30, 2014. The beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many was an Arlington native born 13, 1947. A memorial service celebrating his life will be at 1 p.m. , 3, at First United Methodist Church, Arlington. Eric was a registered Landscape Architect and practiced in Arlington since 1974. His many landscape design projects can be found in Arlington and surrounding metroplex cities. In addition, Eric worked with his father, Howard Dalton, constructing pre-engineered metal buildings. Following Howards death, he continued the construction business along with the landscape design business. Eric graduated from Arlington High School in 1965 and was a proud member of the Colt ing Band and Stage Band. He attended Arlington State (UTA) and graduated from Texas A & M University. While at A & M, he worked for the University Landscape Architect and was involved in the design of various campus projects. Civic activities included prior membership in the Arlington Rotary Club, North Arlington Rotary Club and long-time service on the City of Arlington Zoning Board of Adjustment. He was a member of Arlingtons First United Methodist Church and had served on the Board of Trustees, Administrative Board, and various committees. Eric loved music. He played the piano and drums and especially enjoyed jazz performances whether live or recorded. He was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Virginia Dalton. Eric is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Betty Love Dalton. He is also survived by son Jeff, his wife Melissa and their children Liam, Lucas, and Layla; son Todd and his children Dylan and Max, and their mother Brooke. Although challenged with multiple health issues the past fifteen years, he continued to work and be involved in family, church, and social activities. Those around him were always treated with a smile and a positive outlook. The family requests donations to Arlingtons First United Methodist Church and the American Diabetes Association. |
