Obituary: C. Vernon Duckett, 89, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on morning, 14, 2014. He was the son of Charles and Kitty Duckett. He was an active member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and served as a President of the Friendship School Class. He retired from the oil industry. Vernon served in the United States Air Force, and was a member of the half century club. He was an avid golfer, he made two holes in one until his latter years, he shot under his age in golf. Preceded in death by wife of 62 years, Helen Duckett. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Yvonne Duckett of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Sarah Sykes (Will) Atlanta, GA and Carl Duckett, Lenior City, Tennessee, Sean and Eric Kilgo (Caron) of Atlanta, Georgia; One Great Granddaughter Skylar Gordon, Winder, GA. Special Friend, Freda Seaton. services will be held on , 17, 2014 at 2:30 PM in the East Chapel of Chattanooga with Dr. Bill Owens, Rev. Ted Painter officiating. Private burial will be in Greenwood . The family will receive friends at the East Chapel on from 2 PM to 6 PM. Obituary: Audrey S. Duckett, age 96, of Signal Mountain, passed away on , 6, 2017, at Alexian Village just short of her 97 birthday. She was a former member of Brainerd United Methodist Church and presently a member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond L. Holland and Ralph T. Duckett; parents, Manzo F. and Jenny Babb Smith; siblings, Muriel Walden, Lucille OKelly, Conrad Smith, Jack B. Smith, Paul Smith and James T. Smith. Audrey is survived by her daughter, Judy Holland (William L. Chink) Brown; grandson, Rev. Doug (Jasona) Brown of Denver, CO; granddaughter, Holly (Bruce) Novkov of Signal Mountain; great granddaughters, Mary Holland (Baker) Ellis, Caroline Novkov both of Birmingham, AL, Hannah Brown, Audrey Brown and great grandson, Jonathan Brown all of Denver, CO; siblings, Stanley Smith, of West Virginia and Wynette Holt of Chattanooga; several nieces, nephews, and a special friend, Frances Williams. The family would like to thank the staff of Alexian Village and especially the 5th floor staff and Hospice of Chattanooga. A Celebration of Audreys Life will be held 2 pm on , 11, at Alexian Village Chapel with The Reverend Margaret Ferguson officiating. Obituary: Trilba Virginia Duck, 95, passed away 28, 2016, in Jackson. She was born on Aug 6, 1920, in Benton Co., Tennessee, the daughter of Tom and Lela Henry. Trilba was a member of Cambell Street Church of Christ and the YaHoo Club. She loved to garden and sew. During retirement she began 16 years with the YMCA babysitting many, which she called her abies. Trilba was preceded in death by her parents, 10 siblings, husband Star Baker, and husband James Duck, and stepson Wayne Duck. She is survived by daughter Carolyn McClure and her husband Lynn, from Jackson, step daughter Dorothy Nanney, from Arnold, Missouri; granddaughters Lynnette Howell, from Jackson and Lynae McClure, from Portland, Oregon; step grandsons Brian and Ernie Nanney, from Arnold, Missouri; 3 great-grandchildren, Alicia Whitis, Cheryl Gardner, and Cory Cronin, 6 step great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren, 1 step great great grandchild; and many loved nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to a charity of their choice. Services: Visitation will be 1:00-4:00 and funeral at 10:00 at George A Smith & Sons, North Chapel, Jackson.
