Obituary: Douglas Ray Moshier, CMSgt(R), age 75 of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, passed away , 30, 2017 at Summit Medical in Hermitage. He was born on 21, 1941, in Rochester, Michigan, the son of the late Clarence Ray and Marian Shoemaker Moshier. He was a CMSgt in the Air Force and retired from 118 A.W. He worked for Xerox and HCA for over 20 years. He was an excellent husband, father, grandfather and friend. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy M. Moshier Kik. He is survived by his loving wife, Penny Moshier; son, James D. Jimmy Moshier; 4 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; 2 great granddaughters; nephew who was like a son, Ray Adcock, and several other relatives and friends. Obituary: Sir James L. Douglas, husband of the Lady Terry Douglas, passed away 6, 2014. He was preceded in death by the late Lady Charlotte Maria Marr Douglas. He was born in Tampa, Florida on 23, 1941. He was the son of James and Doris Douglas; father of James Larney Douglas, Jr., James Lamarr Douglas, Jennifer Louise Douglas Templeton, and James Lamont Douglas and Tara Tully Douglas; grandfather to Alaya and James Logan Douglas, and Daniel, William, and Claire Templeton. He was stepfather to Neil and Melissa Hicks, Travis and Paige Benson, and Brad and Kasey Hicks; step-grandfather to Hannah and Eliza Hicks, and Ethan and Demi Hicks; brother to Joseph Lee Cooper, Janet Cooper, and Joyce Whipple; brother-in-law to James and Chris Marr, Lenora Hall, and Woodfin and Shirley Marr, and multiple loved nieces and nephews. Sir James was a graduate of the University of Florida, Purdue Marketing Institute, Haliburton Energy Institute and the Austrian School of Economics. He was attache to Senator Cross of Florida, and Administrative Assistant to Judge Frank Adamson, Washington D.C. with the United States Research Corporation. He was instrumental in developing the first national and international gold and silver marketing force for the company Monex International and was president of several public oil and gas companies. James was an integral moving force in the establishment of various Christian educational endowment trusts throughout the United States and was designated a Fellow of the International Director’s Institute of London, England in 1985. Sir James Douglas was knighted in London, England in 1981 in the sovereign military Order of St. John’s of Jerusalem, a knight of Malta; knighted in 1987 in Edinburgh, Scotland in the Order of St. Lazarus of Scotland. He also developed with his wife, Charmie, the world famous Wildwood Acres Ranch and also together they renovated the family castle, Fa’side, in Tranent, Scotland. Sir James loved car racing, international big game hunting and was a lover of horses from western riding to steeple chasing. Of all things that to him were most special was to have been successful in business, blessed with family and his two lady loves. He lived a life filled with passion through learning, experiencing, and doing. |
