Obituary: Thomas Woodrow Dormayer, Jr., 72, passed away 1, 2017. A loving father and pawpaw, Mr. Dormayer was always willing to help anyone. He was a retired baker from Colonial Bakery. his retirement he painted houses and spent time hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Dormayer and a great-grandchild, Taylor Emily. He is survived by daughters, Kim Ramage and Dana (John) Lang; son, Travis Dormayer; grandchildren, Hunter, Kayla, Spencer, Shiann, Cierra and great-grandchildren, Braylen, Juanita-Faye, Cayson, Kyliee, Landon, Maleyah and Noah and special friend, Betty Hitt. Obituary: Thomas Michael Dorman, 85, passed away on 11, 2017, Nashville, TN. Tommy was born in Nashville, TN on 4, 1931, to the late Carmen Ersel and Louise Ann Wilson Dorman. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and their wives: Carmen Ersel Jr., Jack Lawson (Adeline Lafferty), and Gary Wake?eld (Wilma Holton); and, by nephew Gary Wake?eld, Jr., (Vicki Clark). Tommy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Hogan Dorman and by nieces Jackie Dorman (Don Perkins), Merrie Skinner (Ken Land) and nephews Stan Skinner (Laurie Amenold) and Lane Skinner. serving in the U. S. Army, Signal Corps, Tommy joined the Nashville Police Department in 1956 and served in three divisions, Patrol, Traf?c (including its Motorcycle unit), and retired in 1989 as a Lieutenant in the Youth Guidance division. Civil service and law enforcement were a four-generation family tradition in Davidson . Tommys grandfather, John E. Wilson (1867-1949), after serving as a constable and a railroad special agent, worked as a private detective and gathered evidence for some of Nashvilles most famous criminal court trials. His father, Big Jim Dorman, was a member of the Nashville Police Departments ?rst Radio Motor Patrol in 1936. His brother Gary joined the Nashville Police Department and retired as a Sergeant in the Patrol Division. His nephew, Gary, Jr., who thought police work was too dangerous, joined the Nashville Fire Department and retired in 2011 as a Captain who had special training in Hazardous Materials. Visitation 10 a.m., , 22, 2017, followed by service at 11 a. m. at Marshall Donnelly Combs , 201 25th Avenue, North, Nashville. Telephone 615 327-1111. Metro Police Chaplain will of?ciate. Honorary Pallbearers will be Metro Police Retirees. Obituary: Michael Paul Dority, age 47 of Andersonville, passed away suddenly on , 8, 2014. He was born and raised in Maine and always enjoyed going back to go camping, four wheeling and snowmobiling with his family and friends. He met his future wife, Melissa, there and followed her back to her home state, Tennessee, where they were married and raised their son, Stephen. Mike grew to love East Tennessee. He enjoyed hanging out with his buddies at the garage and working on his 1966 Cadillac, which he was so proud of. He loved having family and friends over for cook-outs and making his famous potato salad. Mike was also an animal lover, especially his kitties.
