Obituary: THOMAS E. DeLOACH, 94, born in Cason, TX, but called Lepanto, AR home, owner of DeLoach Heating and Air, WWII veteran, and a charter member of the Meeting of the Minds Club at McDonalds, died 13, 2011. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time at 2 p.m., , 16 at Memphis and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue. Burial will be in Memphis Memory Gardens. Mr. DeLoach was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Frances V. DeLoach. He leaves one daughter, Ginny Hannah of Memphis, TN; two grandchildren, Frances (David) Miller and Rebecca Wooten (Patrick Davis); six great-grandchildren, Thomas, Matthew, Elizabeth, Miranda, Joshua, and Emma. He will be remembered fondly by his nephews and nieces as Uncle Preacher. At age 94, he still had a license and made daily trips to the River to check out the catch of the day - What A Life, WOW!!! Obituary: James William DeLoach, age 93 of Jackson, TN, died peacefully at his home on , 26, 2011 after an extended illness. Mr. DeLoach was born 17, 1918 to the late Silas Wilbon DeLoach and Hortense McLeary DeLoach. He was raised in the Windy City Community near Jackson, TN and graduated from Pope High School. Mr. DeLoach was married to Gladys Sisco for 50 years. became the proud parents of 3 daughters, Linda, Beverly and Janet. James and Gladys lived, worked and raised their family in the Windy City community, between Jackson and Humboldt. Farming was their livelihood. grew cotton, strawberries and beans on their farm. Strawberry season was always an eventful time with everyone in the family helping out. Mr. DeLoach enjoyed running a dairy farm for a number of years, and, he also worked for Phillips Petroleum . He was a devoted member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, serving as a deacon and school teacher. In later years, he became a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson. Mr. DeLoach will be tremendously missed by his family. He was very proud of his daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His gentle spirit and Christian values will live on in his family. He never lost his love for the outdoors, nature, and growing plants and vegetables. Gardening was a hobby that he continued enjoying for many years. He loved going to the Union University Lady Bulldogs basketball games and enjoyed that yearly with his daughters. Mr. DeLoach was a man of few words until the subject of politics came up, and then, he certainly had strong opinions. He enjoyed reading the newspaper and keeping up with world events. During the last years of his life, he just wanted to stay close to home, eat hearty breakfasts, and visit with his immediate family, especially, his brother Malcolm, who never missed a day having lunch with him. Linda, Beverly and Janet were honored to take care of their dad these last few years. However, they could not have made life as comfortable for him without the amazing and wonderful care provided by Linda Tutor, Rayna Edwards, Betty Bingham, Hospice, and other caregivers. In addition to his parents, Mr. DeLoach is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Sisco DeLoach; brother, S. W. DeLoach, Jr. and sister in-law, Helen DeLoach; sister, Dorothy Drake and brother in-law, Jack Drake; brother-in-law, Herbert Piercey, Jr.; brother-in-law, William C. Stegall, Jr.; brother, Dennis Cecil DeLoach and brother, Malcolm H. DeLoach. He is also preceded by 3 sons-in-law, John Rose, Sr., William L. Guy and James Simpson. In addition, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father in-law, Monnie and Rosco Sisco; 2 brothers-in-law, Rev. Vernon Sisco and Harlon Sisco. He is survived by his 3 daughters, Linda Rose of Little Rock, AR, Beverly Turner and son in-law Jack Turner of Jackson, TN, and Janet Guy of Jackson, TN. He also leaves 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren: grandson, John Rose, Jr. and granddaughter-in-law, Susan, and great-grandchildren, Ashley and Nicole of Little Rock, AR; grandson, Mark Rose and granddaughter-in-law, Delena, and great-grandchildren, James and Matthew of Little Rock, AR; granddaughter, Lori Jones and grandson-in-law, Mark, and great-grandchildren, Lauren and Megan of Celebration, FL; grandson, Jimmy Simpson, and granddaughter-in-law, Mary Elizabeth, and great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Miranda and Emma of Nashville, TN; granddaughter, Lisa DeSpain and great-grandchildren, Lane and Aiden of Jackson, TN; grandson, Andy Guy and great-grandson, Parker of Jackson, TN; grandson, J. Justin Guy and granddaughter-in-law, Jackie of New Orleans, LA; step-granddaughter, Teresa Trya of East Bernstadt, KY. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Sara Piercey of LaVergne, TN and Joanne Stegall of Humboldt, TN; sister-in-law, Nancye DeLoach of Nashville, TN, and many nieces and nephews. In addition, he is survived by a sister-in-law, Louise Waller of Jackson, TN and brother-in-law, Kenneth Sisco of Vacaville, CA. Services for James DeLoach will be held at 11 a.m. , May 5th, at the North Chapel of George Smith and Sons, with Reverend John McCommon, officiating. Pallbearers will be so- in-law, Jack Turner; grandsons, John Rose, Jr., Mark Rose, Jimmy Simpson, Andy Guy, J. Justin Guy; grandson-in-law, Mark Jones and great-grandson, Lane Norton. The burial will follow in Ridgecrest . The family will receive friends , May 4th from 5 to 7 p.m., at the George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel.
