Obituary: Peter Demos Jr., 86, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Sophia Demos entered into eternal rest , 17, 2021. His Service will be held , 22, 2021 at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 30 Race St, Charleston, SC 29403 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Holy Trinity, a prayer service will begin at 7:30 pm. by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel. Pete was born in Charleston on 21, 1934, a son of the late Peter and Panagiota Demos. He graduated from Charleston High in 1952 then The Citadel in 1956 and served honorably in the Air Force where he became an avid golfer. Pete returned to Charleston, where he would raise a family and enjoy a successful professional career with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance . Pete was a longtime member of the Citadel Brigadier Club. He co-founded the Blue &White Citadel Sports newsletter and faithfully attended The Citadel football, basketball, and baseball games. Pete also had a passion for singing and was a member of the Greek Male Choirs and the Charleston Male Choir as well as several other singing groups. He is survived by his wife, Sophia Lawandales Demos of Charleston; his children: Peter III (Ann) Demos, Frank (Danetta) Demos, Pamela (George) Vasilos and Demetrios (Betsy) Demos; his sister, Angelica (Ki) Sponza ; nine (9) grandchildren and seven (7) great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his sister Alexander Stefanou. Obituary: Rebecca Lynn R. DemoriCentral, SC Rebecca Lynn Reed Demori, 64, wife of Andy Demori, died , 4, 2016 at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital, Greenville. Born in Charleston on 13, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Mary Frances Schneider Reed. She earned a B.A. in Political Science and Master of Education from Clemson University. She was a retired Director of Special Education for the School District of Oconee . In her free time, she volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem and as a tutor for middle and high school students. She loved her family, enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time at the beach. In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her daughter, Marianna (Alan) Magee of Atlanta, GA; and her sisters, Wanda Brooks of Goose Creek, SC and Janet Davis of Hanahan, SC. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on , 9, 2016 at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 1106 Yeamans Hall Rd., Hanahan, SC 29410. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the church. A graveside committal service will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens in North Charleston, SC.
