Obituary: DUES, Luella W. (Simons), 94, a life-long resident of Dayton, passed away peacefully on , 10, 2016. She was born 26, 1922, in Frenchtown, OH, to the late Lawrence and Estella (Baltes) Simons. Luella worked happily alongside her husband Joe in their many businesses, a sampling of which included Dues Motor and Cycle Supply, Dues Inc., Dues Building Systems, Dues Development Co., and MFI Technologies. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and was a long-time supporter of the University of Notre Dame, St. Marys , and the Cincinnati Chapter of YPO. She enjoyed traveling around the world with her husband, visiting more than 60 countries and making life-long friends along the way. At home, she was an avid reader, tended to her multitude of gardens, shared her cooking recipes, enjoyed crocheting and cross-stitching and, most of all, sharing time with her family. Preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Joseph J. Dues whom she married 17, 1946 and shared a wonderful life with. Also preceded in death by her brothers, Noah, John and Larry Simons; sisters, Alma Pequignot and Mary Dues; brothers-in-laws, John Pequignot, William Dues, Louis Aselage, Barney Imwalle, Jerry Brandts and Al Tobe. Luella is survived by her children; John (Janet) Dues of McLean, VA, Tom Dues of Waynesville, OH, Peggy Harrier of Cincinnati, OH, and Julie (Bill) Sellers of Oakwood, OH; 14 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jay, Chris, Sarah, Katie, Raquel, Adrianne, Cayla, Lauren, Michaela, Tristen, Shana, Carly and Jesse; and 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Gen Tobe, Ruth Aselage, Verdice Brandts and Phyllis Imwalle; sisters-in-law, Evelyn, Shirley and Kate Simons and Mildred Clary; 7 god-children as well as many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 9:30-11am on , 14, 2016 at Routsong , 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering, OH. A funeral service will be held at 11am celebrating her life at the funeral home followed by a light lunch. Burial at Calvary . In lieu of flowers, it is the wish of the family that memorial contributions be given to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420 in her name. The family wants to offer a special thanks to her Doctors and their medical staffs, the in-home care givers from A Caring Companion , and the staff of Hospice of Dayton for taking such good care of our mother and making her comfortable. |

Obituary: Dennis A. Denny Dues, age 72 of 1013 Fairground Rd. Celina, Ohio passed away at 4:00p.m. on 21, 2014, at home with his family. He was born on Feb. 1, 1942 in Coldwater, Ohio to the late Clem & Regina (Bruns) Dues. On Oct. 26, 1963 he married Mary Birkmeyer , who lives in Celina. Also surviving are his two sons & daughters-in-law Michael & Shawn Dues of Celina, Steve & Danielle Dues of Spencerville, seven grandchildren Erin & Jacob Zimmerly, Adam & Brooke Dues, Alex Dues, Tyler Dues, Ben Dues, Brandon Dues, Jason Dues, three step grandchildren Alissa Mir, Arianne Mir, Christopher Mir, four great grandchildren Becca, Jadyn, Benson and Jared Zimmerly, two brothers & sisters-in-law Virgil & Irene Dues of Coldwater, Gary & Jan Dues of Celina, Dorothy Graham of Allen, TX, Joan Dues of Coldwater and his sister & brother-in-law Marlene & Rob Fisher of Coldwater. Denny was preceded in death by his two brothers Leon Dues and Orville Dues. He graduated from Coldwater High School with the Class of 1961 and then graduated from the Ohio State Barber . He was the Co-Owner of George & Dennys Barber Shop for 40 years and retired in 2002. Then he was employed by Dues Nursery. Denny coached little league football in Celina for 20 years. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow-up and attending their sporting events. Denny was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina and a 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #1800. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30a.m. on 25, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic in Celina. Friends may call from 2-8p.m. on 24, 2014 and from 9-10a.m. on at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel in Celina. Obituary: DUERR, Jr., Russel R. Age 87, passed away peacefully on 14, 2015 at home with his family by his side. He was born on Feb. 8, 1928 to the late Margaret and Russel Duerr, Sr. in Dayton. He was preceded in death by his sister Janet M. Triplett. He was a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School and a veteran of the Navy serving in WWII. He worked at Frigidaire retiring after 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife Patricia (nee Bailey) of 65 years, son Thomas (Mary Jane Walling), daughter Linda (Chris Furderer), granddaughter Jennifer Tudor-Eaken, grandson Nathan Furderer (Alison), three great grandchildren (Marisa and Macy Eaken and Brent Watters), niece Cathy (Charles) Barnes and nephew Thomas Triplett (Paula).
