Obituary: Yolanda Julia (Rozsos) Denger climbed the golden stairs to Heaven on 9 to meet her soul mate of 62 years, Kenneth,, who preceded her in death on 1, 2009. She was born in Henrietta Township in Lorain , Ohio on 21, 1921. She attended school in Henrietta and graduated as valedictorian of her class. graduation, she attended Oberlin School of Commerce. graduation, she was employed by the Western Automatic Screw as a stenographer. Before she quit to get married, she had advanced to positions of secretary and sales manager. marrying Kenneth Denger in 1947, they moved to Athens, Ohio, so he could finish his degree in education. She worked at the Athens Flooring for a short time. In 1950, Xenia became their home when Kenneth took a job with Beavercreek Schools. Julia decided to go back to work after her children started school and was employed by the Greene Department, where she worked for 21 years. The couple volunteered at Greene Memorial Hospital and worked as host and hostess in the emergency room for a number of years. In 1985, they decided to spend their winters in Florida. spent 20 years in Florida, enjoying every minute. Julia was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years; a 25-year member of Chapter 262 of Eastern Stars and a 20-year volunteer with the VOICE program for the Lee Sheriffs Department in Fort Myers, Florida. She and Ken enjoyed traveling, including a trip to Scotland, where his mother was born. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Rose Rozsos; brothers Roger and Ben, sisters Rose and Margaret and a sister in infancy. Her sister, Helen Dugovich of Middleburg Heights, Ohio, survives her. She is survived by four children, Linda (Doug) Thomas; Tim Denger, Tom (Dorcas) Denger; and Laurie Denger; four grandchildren, Zachary (Tarren) Denger; Melanie (Scott) Cyphers; Julia Jean Denger and Kerey Denger. She also is survived by great grandchildren, Nathan and Quinntin Denger, Kaya Sparrow; Conner, Kiera, Courtney and Kaylee Cyphers. Services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church in Julias memory. |
