Obituary: Robert Toering Duxbury, a longtime resident of Montgomery, AL, expired on 7, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents George William and Jessie Theodora Duxbury, sister Theodora Seifried (William), two sons Jonathan Wayne and Brian Christopher Duxbury. He is survived by the love of his life Joy-Sims Duxbury; daughters Robin Duxbury of Boulder, CO, Lynda Knobel (Robert) of Weddington, NC, and Christine Edwards (George) of Baily, CO; one sister Joan Toering Schneider (George); five grandchildren Jarrad Duxbury, Robert H. Knobel, Alexandria Duxbury, Matthew Sims Knobel and Christopher Duxbury; three great grandchildren and three nieces. Mr. Duxbury, a veteran of World War II, served with the 327th Glider Infantry in Normandy, Holland, Ardennes and in Germany. He was a life member of the V.F.W. DAV and the 101st Airborne Division Association. His business career consisted of traveling nationwide as a management consultant, followed by working for the State of Georgia in the office of the Governor. The last 15 years of his business career he worked for the State of Alabama in the Public Service Commission from which he retired in 1995. He will be inurned in Arlington National at a later date. |

Obituary: Sharon Files Duvall, 69, of Hickory passed away unexpectedly on , 7, 2015 while visiting her son in Arizona. Born 17, 1945, in Springerton, IL, she was the daughter of the late Allen Pifer Files and Edith Mattie Thomas Files. Sharon retired from Corning Cable Systems and loved to go on impromptu trips whenever the urge hit her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Files and sister-in-law, Vennie Files. Sharon is survived by her sons, Stephen Duvall of Buckeye, AZ, Matthew Duvall of Manhattan, Il, Philip Duvall and wife, Kathleen of Black Mountain, NC; daughters, Kellie Souther and husband, Daniel of Newton, and Kimberley McDaniel and husband, Ward of Benton, IL; grandchildren, Lorin Souther, Lindsay McDaniel, Erin McDaniel, Trey McDaniel, Caitlin McDaniel, Logan Duvall, Walker Duvall, Ellison Duvall, and Haleyanne Duvall; brothers, Edward Files and wife, Janice and Pifer Lee Files; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on , 15, 2015 in the Chapel of Drum in Hickory with Rev. Scott Hooks officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at Drum in Hickory. Obituary: Rebecca Queen Duvall 1952 - 2021 Gastonia – Rebecca Queen Duvall, 69, passed away on 10th 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical in Gastonia, North Carolina. She was born in Greenville, South Carolina on 18, 1952, to the late William and Ollie Queen. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Eddie Duvall, her son Steven Duvall, and her great-grandson Brantley Jaylyn Detter. Rebecca loved animals and art. She enjoyed spending time with her family and making memories with her grandchildren. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Tina Duvall Harrison; sons, Bobby (Shonda) Duvall, Ricky Duvall, and step-son Brian (Tracy) Duvall; brother, Buddy (Rosa) Queen; sister, Diane (Thomas) Dillard; and seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
