Obituary: Elizabeth Betty Forline Dancer, age 84, passed away on , 12, 2016 at Kingston Residence in Hickory, NC, after a brief illness. Born 1, 1931 in Oklahoma City, OK, she was the daughter of the late Harry Wallace Forline and Ethlyn Mancine Forline. She had moved to Hickory, NC to be closer to her son Craig, Linda and Chad Dancer. Betty graduated from Independence High School with the Class of 1949 and was united in marriage with Don Dancer on 27, 1950. She retired from KGE in 1995. Betty was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Independence, KS, where she served as an Elder and on various committees. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Contemporary Club, a member of the EF Chapter of PEO where she was a past president and Golden Girl. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Don Dancer; son, Jeffrey Dancer and step-mother, Maxine Lawrence Wiggins Left to cherish her memory are her son, Craig Dancer and wife, Linda of Hickory; grandchildren, Bill Dancer and his wife Jennifer of Dallas, TX, Frank Dancer and his wife Juliana of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, David Dancer and his wife Brittany of Dallas, TX, Chad Dancer and his wife Meghan currently serving at Barksdale AFB, Shreveport, LA; Betty also has five great-grandchildren; step-sister, Joan Goodknight of Independence, KS; step-brother, Larry Wiggins of Wichita, KS; and daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Dancer. Obituary: Edward J. Danaher, 90, of Cary, North Carolina (formerly of Waterbury, Connecticut), husband of Marcie (Barnes) Danaher, died on May 31, 2016. Mr. Danaher was born in Waterbury on 5, 1925, son of the late Michael J. and Nora (Dwyer) Danaher. He joined the city's Scovill Mfg. Co. after graduating Crosby High School in 1944, where he worked as a tool designer (and often played in its bowling leagues) for over forty years, until he retired from its successor company in 1985. He was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel's Church in Cary, and previously attended St. Patrick's Church in Waterbury, where he served as Treasurer of the Holy Name Society and was a frequent volunteer in bingo nights, until moving to North Carolina in 2003. In addition to Mrs. Danaher, "Ed" leaves three sons and two daughters-in-law, Thomas Danaher and Lorraine Deverell of Cary, NC, Timothy and Diana Danaher of Ellicott City, MD, and Brian Danaher of Washington, DC and Massachusetts, as well as four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many Danaher and Barnes nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in America, Ireland, Scotland and around the world. Mr. Danaher was pre-deceased by his older brothers and sisters-in-law, M. Joseph and Zoia Danaher (of West Hartford and Westerly, RI) and Francis and Ella Danaher (of Wolcott, CT). : Brown Wynne (family only) and funeral Mass at St. Michael's at 1pm on , 3. Obituary: Havelock| Helen Gearhart Dams, 85 born on 15, 1929 in Altoona, PA to John A. Gearhart and Edith K. Gearhart went to join our Heavenly Father in eternal peace on 7, 2015. She was a resident of Riverpoint Crest Skill at the time. She is preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Rebecca Louise Sykes. She is survived by her brother Kenneth Gearhart of San Marcos, CA. She was a 1947 graduate of Altoona High School. graduation, she was employed many years in the Altoona Shoe , until she met and married William Joseph Charles Dams on 8, 1962. Forever starting her life long career as a steadfast, faithful Marine Corp wife and mother. Helen is survived by her husband of 52 years William J. Dams of the home, one son William Herman John Dams of New Bern, NC and one daughter Anna Marie Dams of the home and her fiancée Glenn A Crawford of Havelock, NC. She was blessed to have two wonderful grand children, Gysgt Randolf Nathan Revert, Jr. of San Bruno, CA; Aris Marie Sykes of Toms River, NJ, and two beautiful great granddaughters Dominique A Revert and Ariana J Revert of Temecula, CA. Helen played an active role in many fraternal Masonic Orders. She was Past Grand Royal Matron of the Grand Court of NC Order of the Amaranth, Past Royal Matron of Tryon Court #16 Order of the Amaranth, Past Worthy Matron of Cherry Point Chapter #289 Order of the Eastern Star, Past Worthy High Priestess of Coastal Shrine #9 White Shrine of Jerusalem. She was a member at large in the Daughters of the Nile, Past Bethel Guardian of Bethel #3 Jobs Daughters; Past Noble Grand of Miriam Rebekah Lodge of Beaufort, NC, and a member of the Moose Lodge of Newport, NC. Before her health issues, she was a faithful member and organist of the Upper Room Church. She will be missed by all those she left behind.
