Obituary: Brunswick - Charlene Esancy Dyer, 86 of Freeport, ME passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on , May 20, 2016. Charlene was the youngest of eight children, born and raised on a dairy farm in South China, ME in 1929. She attended area schools and graduated from Erskine Academy in 1948. She met the love of her life, Kenneth L. Dyer on her familys farm. The couple wed on 5, 1949. The Dyers were blessed with seven children. Charlene made many happy memories with her family, they spent many days camping, boating and saltwater fishing. The family built a log cabin camp from logs that were cut and peeled on site in the small northern Maine township of Molunkus. Many Happy Thanksgivings were spent at camp where Charlene was the camp chef. Charlenes husband Ken converted a 40-foot city bus into a motor coach that they spent many wonderful winter months in at Happy Acres Resort in Screven, GA. The Dyers did not need a special occasion to throw a or night house party. Country music filled the air! Charlene will be remembered for many morning coffee and donut breakfasts open to family and friends. She was very family focused and many wonderful memories were made at the Dyer Family Christmas parties. Charlenes interests included camping, knitting, sewing (her prized possession was a vintage Singer Sewing machine), playing cards and games. Her canning and culinary creations included homemade sour pickles, baked red kidney beans and molasses cookies to name a few. Some of Charlenes other loves in life were Conway Twitty, Mark Martin and Alan Jackson. Charlenes bright smile, warm embrace and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her. Charlene was predeceased by her son Kenneth Jr., her husband Kenneth, her grandson Toby Probert, her daughter Gloria Doughty, her son-in-law Jack Doughty and her daughter-in-law Pamela Dyer. Charlene is survived by her son David Dyer and his friend Dawn Fogg, her son Paul Dyer and his wife Dorothy, her daughter Lois Merry and her husband Bryce, her son Donald and his wife Nancy, her son Howard Dyer and his wife Sandra, her daughter-in-law Linda Dyer, her son-in-law David Probert and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Charlene is also survived by her sister Eleanor Poulliot. The family would like to invite you to share your stories and memories during calling hours on , May 26th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Lindquist , 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth. A Service will be celebrated on at 1:00pm at Lindquist followed by committal services at West St. (Woodlawn) in Freeport. Obituary: Anthony Collins Van Dyck Jr., 40, died tragically in a car accident on 13, 2015 in New Gloucester, Maine. He was born May 16, 1975 in Westerly, Rhode Island, the son of Dr. Anthony C. Van Dyck Sr. and Marie (Sidoti) Van Dyck. Tony grew up in Greenfield, MA and recently moved to Skowhegan, Maine from Burlington, MA. He attended and graduated from Greenfield High School, Greenfield Community , and RITOP School for Mobile Electronics. He owned and operated his own car audio business, Turkey Hill Audio for many years. Tony was a member of the New England S.P.L. car audio competitions. He loved car audio, electronics, snowmobiling, downhill skiing, jet skiing, body boarding, gardening, fishing, loud music, playing the drums, fixing anything and everything. Tony cherished the time he spent with his family. Tony was kind, genuine, funny, loving, caring, brilliant, determined, thoughtful, and helpful. He had a superior attention to detail. He was also an entertaining father, supportive fiancé, loving brother, wonderful son and true friend. He is survived by his life partner Misty Loomis of Skowhegan; his children, Abagail Lynn and Anthony III both of Skowhegan; his father and mother, Dr. Anthony and Marie Van Dyck; his siblings, Meg Van Dyck of Greenfield, MA, Peter Van Dyck of Austin, TX, Liz Van Dyck of The Grateful Dead. Viewing hours will be held on 18, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Smart & Edwards , 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on 19, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Notre Dame de Lourdes, Water St., Skowhegan, Maine.
