Obituary: Beverly J. (Black) Most Durrell, 89, of Skowhegan, passed away peacefully on 11, 2017 in Skowhegan, Maine. She was born 13, 1927 in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of Clarence and Imogene (Sawyer) Black. At the age of 18 she married Harold most on 22, 1944, they had one daughter Patricia, later divorcing in 1947. At that time Beverly and her daughter moved from New York City back to Farmington, Maine. She then married her soul mate Clifton E. Durrell on 14, 1948; they shared 55 years of marriage until Cliftons death in 1997. Although, Beverly lifes path was full of struggles and hardship, she was able to receive her GED then her dream of a nursing career; she got her C.N.A. certificate at Redington Fairview General Hospital. She worked there at the surgical ward and obstetrics ward until her retirement. Throughout her earlier working years, she worked as a waitress, factory worker at Fosters Mill in Strong, shoe shops in Skowhegan, Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Factory in Hartford, CT. Beverly was an active member of the VFW Post in Skowhegan and American Legion Post #192 in Athens, Maine. In 2015 Beverly was acknowledged as a lifetime achievement award by the State of Maine. She was also a member of Skowhegan Extension Club. Over her years she has made many quilts for the Maine Veterans , Local Charites as raffle gifts and harness racing gifts. She enjoyed Bingo, crafting, quilting, and Skowhegan and Farmington Horse racing. She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Imogene; five brothers, William, Philip, Henry, Charlie, and Arthur; two sisters, Agnes and Thelma. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Rogers and her husband Milton; one granddaughter, Robin Locke Dimozk and her husband Robert; three grandsons, Duane Locke, Brian Locke and his wife Diane Volpe Locke, and Lee Locke; six great-granddaughters, Kylee Locke, Christine Locke, Miranda, Larissa and Serena Locke, Emma Dimozk; three great-grandsons, Kaleb Locke, Jacob Locke and Nathan Dimozk. A special thanks to Cedar Ridge Staff and Dr. Mike Lambke for the wonderful care given to Beverly and to Beacon Hospice for the outstanding support they provided. At Beverlys request there will be no funeral services. Obituary: LEWISTON: Roland E. Durocher, 87, of Seville Place Lewiston, died 2/17/2016 at home. He was born in Lewiston 27, 1928, the son of the late Arthur and Alice (Brisson) Durocher. local schooling at St Marys Parochial School, pursued High School and Studies at St Charles Borromee of Sherbrooke, Canada, followed with a one year residence studies with the Franciscan Fathers of Sherbrooke. He was later awarded a degree in Liberal Arts Studies from St Francis in Biddeford, Maine in 1950. He had a four-year tour of service with the United States Air Force. On 27, 1958, he married the love of his life Gisele Bilodeau, on his birthday, at St. Peters Church in Lewiston. He worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance as agent/consultant for eight years, later retiring from Key Bank in 1984. He then worked for the United States Postal Service retiring in 1992. He was very active with the area parish choirs of St Marys, Holy Family, Ss. Peter & Paul with tenor leading roles in the The Seven Last Words of Christ, My Fair Lady, Les Cloches de Corneville etc. Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 106, Lewiston; longtime member of the Orpheon; member of LUnion St Jean-Baptist; Honorary Citizen of Boys Town; actively committed to the Basilica of Ss. Peter and Paul, Prince of Peace Parish as cantor, lector, acolyte and eucharistic minister; Member/former Counselor of Ss. Peter & Paul Society. He was Member/President of St Peters School PTA and member of Ss. Peter & Paul Parish Council. He was also involved with United Way and St Marys Regional Medical Fund Drives and currently volunteered at St Marys Hospital. He enjoyed music, theater, playing cards, reading and traveling through all 50 States, Bermuda, Aruba, Canada, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Gisele; two sons, Paul (Dawn); Robert (Jeanne Marie); a daughter, Michelle (Chris); four grandchildren, Allison (Frank), Jennifer, Sarah and Jason; three great-grandchildren, Sean, Julie and Hobie; sisters-in-law Yolande Roy, Claudette Bilodeau, Laurette Bilodeau and Lorraine Durocher; brother-in-law Julien (Pauline) Bilodeau as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Maurice Mike Durocher, and brothers-in-law Gerald Bilodeau and Norman Roy. Obituary: Lorraine Emilette Durisko 1924 - 2015 Brunswick- Lorraine E. Durisko 91, of Durisko Lane, Lisbon Falls died 5, at Mid Coast Hospital, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Topsham on May 24, 1924 the daughter of the late Oliver and Beatrice (Finn) Livernois. She was educated at St. Johns School in Brunswick. Lorraine Married her true love Andrew Durisko on 6, 1948, and they settled in Lisbon Falls to start a family. Together they also owned and operated Town Cleaners, Coinamatic Laundromat Montgomery Wards Catalog Store and Durisko Real Estate. Her favorite job was raising her three children. Lorraine was a very active member of the former Ss. Cyril & Methodist Church, and was now a member of St. Johns in Brunswick. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, going to Foxwoods, and spending time with family, especially her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons, Matthew Durisko and his wife Sheila of Lisbon Falls, Mark Durisko and his wife Pamela of Durham, a daughter Marie Webb and husband Ronald of Pittston, seven grandchildren: Karen, Matthew, Luke, Marcea, Zachary, Joshua and Melissa, and eleven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Andrew on 30, 2011.
