Obituary: Lewiston - Cecile C. Dube, 75 of Minot passed away , 31, 2011 at Central Maine Medical . She was born in Lewiston, 9, 1935 the daughter of the late Horace and Marie Ange Halle Rioux. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married to Richard L. "Baboon" Dube. Prior to her retirement Cecile was employed at Tambrands in Auburn for 26 years. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish at Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed bargain shopping, camping at Sebago Lake, playing cribbage and trips to the casino. She will be remembered as a fantastic cook. She is survived by her husband of Minot; a daughter, Denise Guerin and husband Dan of Minot and their two children, Michael and Danielle; two sons, Gil Dube and wife Pauline of Minot and their two children, Alicia and Makayla and Richard Dube and wife Donna of Turner and their children, Christine, Dwan, Tracy, Shawn and Sarah. Obituary: SABATTUS - Annie R. Dube 84, of Sabattus died on 29, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Lisbon on 24, 1932 the daughter of Wendell E. Moore and Ruth A. (Gurkdaunis) Moore. Annie attended grammar school in Sabattus then went to Lisbon High School. On 22, 1950 she married the love of her life Conrad J. Dube and together they built their home, raised their five children and enjoyed 66 years of marriage on Webster Corner Rd. in Sabattus. She worked at Worumbo Mill then with her husband worked their dairy farm until it burned in 1968. built and ran The Village Store on Crowley Rd. in Sabattus selling it in 1985, and finally developing and selling mobile home lots in Sabattus. Annie made beautiful braided rugs, and loved to sew and crochet. She was a talented cook, made wonderful pies, her salmon pie was especially good, but her chocolate fudge was superb. Annie was very gracious made everyone feel welcome, and had a great sense of humor. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and the Grandkids loved going to Nannie Annies to hang out with her and Papa. She will be missed by her husband, Conrad, her 3 daughters, Janice and husband William Bailey, Suzanne Dube and companion William Tracey, and Sandra Currier, 2 sons, Joe and wife Jennifer Dube, and Glen and wife Melanie Dube all of Sabattus, 18 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren, and Kitty her beloved cat. Annie was predeceased by her brother, Stanley Moore and a granddaughter, Brandy Smith. Obituary: Milford, Maine Adrien J. Dube, 85, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on 6th, 2012 after a brief courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Lille, Maine on 3, 1926 to Edmund and Celina (Bourgoin) Dube. Adrien was a WWII veteran and was honored to have served his country and always remained patriotic in every respect. He marched in every Veterans Day and 4th of Bangor Parade until his illness. He always looked forward to receiving his stripes for his veterans post cane. Adrien was employed at James River Corp for 42 years as well as operating his own small appliance repair business for over 25 years. Adrien loved taking walks, gatherings at the Seniors Club in Orono, talking with old friends, going to visit his son Joe, family barbecues, dancing and upon retirement learned to appreciate what soap operas were all about. He resided along with his loving wife, Rose, at a home on Pushaw Lake and would always tell everyone it was ice out to the lake. many years of living at Pushaw, he and his wife decided to move closer to town and purchased a home in Milford in 2002. Adrien is survived by Rose, his loving wife of 61 years, daughter Patricia (Dube) Stoddard and husband Wendell of Greenfield, son Richard Dube and wife Diane of Greenland, NH, son Joseph Dube of Milford, daughter Nancy Dube of Brewer, son Ronald Dube and wife Patti of Milford. He is also survived by brother Normand Dube and wife Peggy of Vermont, Roderick Dube and significant other Velma of Grand Isle, brother Lawrence Dube of Oakfield, sisters in law Delores Ouellette, Lucille Breau, Priscilla Bouchard and brother in law Eddie Ouellette, grandchildren include Jamie Stoddard, Ronnie Dube II, Katie Dube, Nicole Dube, Danielle (Dube) Hurd and husband Andrew and Kayla Dube, six great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Adrien was predeceased by his parents, in-laws, sisters Teresa and Beatrice Berube, Jean Kenney, brothers Leonard, Richard, James, Chanel and Fern Dube. A private military service will be held in Adriens honor at a later date for immediate family. A most heartfelt thank you goes to Kim Pomeroy, EMHC, hospice caretaker, for her professionalism and passionate caring for our father in his final hours. We can thank you enough for being there for our family in dads final hours. Obituary: Robert Arthur Dubay Old Town - Robert Bob Arthur Dubay, 89, died peacefully at his home in Old Town on , May 2 of cancer. He was born on Feb. 1, 1924 in the family home on French Island, the youngest child of Josephine and Charles Dubay, Jr. At an early age, he moved to Millinocket to live with extended family where he discovered and developed a passion for Baxter State Park that he later passed on to his children. Bob moved back to Old Town where he attended and graduated high school. It was at St. Marys Church, where he had served as an altar boy, that he met the love of his life, Rachel Joan Hoit. sending her a telegram and an engagement ring from his military post, they were married on Oct. 1, 1945. Bob attended the University of Maine until he enlisted in the US Navy and became a pilot. One of his many stories was that his flight instructor was Ted Williams and his battalion commander was Johnny Pesky. As a result, his admiration for the Red Sox was solidified. Later, he served in the Army & Air Force Reserves. For the next 20 years, he sold insurance for Metropolitan Life and returned to UMO to earn his business degree. training with H&R Block in Boston, he introduced the company to Maine and subsequently opened numerous offices throughout the State. 25 years of service with H&R Block, Bob retired in 1987. He spent most of his retirement traveling with his wife, visiting their children and grandchildren across the country. Bob had a profound appreciation for the natural beauty of Maine and delighted in treks with his kids to Cold Stream Pond, Bar Harbor and Mount Katahdin. He was constantly working on household projects, acquiring many useful skills over the years. The quintessential handyman, Bob was always eager to share his knowledge by offering a helping hand to others. He volunteered at Baxter State Park, where he helped construct camping facilities and trail improvements. Throughout his life, he was known for his quick wit, intellect, curiosity, and his remarkable ability to engage in conversation with everyone he met. Bob was a devout Catholic who demonstrated his Christian faith through his unwavering compassion and generosity. He participated daily in services and was well respected by his church community. He had a special friendship with Father Joe Khoury. Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Rachel Joan, his baby daughter, Caroline Jean, his parents, his brother Roland and sister Lorraine. He is survived by his children: Mark (and Shelly) of Milford, NH; Roberta (and Rob) Strout of Conyers, GA; Paula of Lynchburg, VA; Christina of Waynesboro, VA; Peter (and Debbie) of Seattle, WA; Susan (his primary caregiver) of Old Town; Monica (and Willem) of Baraboo, WI; Patrick (and Debbie) of Stillwater, ME; Juliana (and Joe) Dobinski of Fernandina Beach, FL; his 23 grandchildren: Mark Dubay, Kathleen Dubay, Alisa Reynolds, Joseph Dubay, Sarah Forstner, Amanda Tunnell, Erica Strout, Jessica Miller, Andrew Brown, Jeremiah Horton, Caleb Horton, Kara Good, Jennifer Evans, Melissa Dubay, Matthew Dubay, Luke Duplessis, Rachel Meakin, Christopher Skinner, Samuel Skinner, Bryan Dubay, Kristi Brown, Michael Dobinski, Caroline Dobinski, and 16 great-grandchildren: Caitlin, Patrick, Shea, Tyler, Megan, Allison, Jane, Eleanor, Gabriella, Jocelyn, Aubrey, Madeline, Luke, Eli, Noah, and Carmen; a special cousin Whittier, other cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as several lifelong friends, especially the Spruces and the Needhams. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Birmingham 438 Main St Old Town where members of the Knights of Columbus will recite prayers at 7:30pm.
