Obituary: Orva (Moore) Davis, 96, of Springdale, died 22, 2016 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born in Parnell, Mo., on 3, 1920, to Thomas Orval and Blanche (Mullock) Moore. She graduated from high school in 1938, in Hopkins, Mo., and married Harold Davis, a fourth generation native of Hopkins in the fall of that year. farmed 120 acres for 18 years and then moved to Southern California, where they raised their two daughters. Orva loved people. Her first thought was to share with others--whether it was ideas . . . advice . . . food . . . or the Gospel. Her greatest joy lay in searching the depths of Gods Word, meditating on it and relying daily on His grace. Ten years after her husband died, Orva and daughter Daria moved to Rogers in 2005. Daughter Deena followed in the fall of 2006. Survivors include her daughters Daria Davis and Deena Davis of Springdale; sister, Dorothy (Walter) Coleman of Piedmont, SC; sister-in-law Verna Moore of Van Buren; several nephews and nieces and their families. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold; brothers Harold Jack Collins, Douglas Moore, Joe Moore; sisters, Nellie Engle, Bernice Blair, and Bonnie Moore. services will be held at 11am on , 26, at First Baptist Churchs Pleasant Grove campus in Rogers, officiated by Pastor Wade Tomlinson. Obituary: Norman C. Davis, 85, of Fort Smith, passed away , 18, 2017. He was born on 7, 1931 in Sallisaw, OK. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean conflict. He was an Electrical Estimator. He was an ordained Deacon at Immanuel Baptist Church and a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church. He served for 12 years as secretary of Belle Point Masonic Lodge #20 F&AM where he was a Past Master. He belonged to Liberty Chapter #402 OES, was a Past Patron and served as secretary, he also served as Chaplain of Fidelity Chapter #86 OES. As a member of Amrita Grotto, he was a Past Monarch, had served as secretary, was in the motorcycle patrol, and in the clown unit making kids happy with his balloons. service will be 10:00 AM at Edwards Chapel with burial to follow at the U.S. National in Fort Smith with Military Honors. He is survived by his wife, Doris Davis; daughter, Debera Thompson of Fort Smith, AR; son, Richard Davis and wife Dalia of Conway, AR; brothers, Hobart Paul Davis, Carl Davis and Gilbert Davis, all of Sallisaw, OK; three grandchildren, Codey Davis, Zechariah Thompson and Amie Thompson; and one great grandchild, Tripp Starr. Pallbearers will be Codey Davis, Zechariah Thompson, David Edwards, David Arnold, Leo (Buddy) Cole, Jr. and Joe Hill.
