Obituary: Sarah Lee Dyson Thomas entered eternal rest on 17, 2017. Wife of the late Nathaniel Thomas Jr. Daughter of the late Edward and Ora Dee Dyson. Mother of Natasha Thomas Prier and Byron Thomas. Sister of Bernice Jones, Clementine Brown, Earline Dyson and the late Dora Thomas. She is also survived by a granddaughter Nyah Prier and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Sarah was a devoted member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church for sixty years. She was a member of the choir and womens auxiliary. She was educated in the Orleans Parish Public School System and obtained a Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Southern University at New Orleans. Sarah retired from University hospital after 22 years as a Social Worker. She was a member of Sisters Intouch (a support group for breast cancer survivors) and the New Orleans Association of Black Social Workers. She loved reading inspirational books, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also Pastors and members of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church are invited to attend the funeral service at 10:00 AM on , 24, 2017 at Fairview M.B.C., 2000 Andry St. New Orleans, LA 70117.
