Obituary: MYRNA COOKSLEY DYERSON 1937-2015 “ And tho she be but little, she is fierce” On 21, 2015, God called Myrna C. Dyerson home to His kingdom. She was 78 years old. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Clyde W. Dyerson, Jr., her daughters and sons-in-law, Tambi Dyerson Delcambre & Richard P. Delcambre and Karen Dyerson Rogers & Vincent Rogers, and her beloved grandson, Joshua A. Delcambre & his fiancee’ Ashley N. Anastasio. She also leaves behind three “bonus” grandchildren, Christopher P. Delcambre, Stacie D. Russell, and Laura M. Delcambre, along with two “bonus” great granddaughters, Layla N. Delcambre and Alexandra J. Delcambre of Nashville, TN. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anita T. Cooksley, her father, J.C. Cooksley, her sister, Fay Cooksley Gussman & her husband, Cyrus J. Gussman, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she loved very much. Myrna was a native of Morgan City, LA and moved to Kenner, LA in 1982. While in Morgan City, she owned several businesses. Upon moving to Kenner, she attended Delgado Community , earned her degree in Interior Design, and was a member of ASID. She worked as an Interior Designer for many years until she sustained a back injury which led to her retirement. she retired, she spent most of her time with her grandson, Joshua. In more recent years she battled a number of illnesses that began a rapid decline in her health and quality of life. She passed away at EJGH at 10:20 a.m. on , 21st. include a funeral mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie at 9:00 a.m. on , 30th. Following mass, there will be a reception until 11:00 a.m. for friends who would like to pay their respects. At 11:00 a.m. , there will be a graveside service to inter her cremated remains in All Saints Mausoleum located on the grounds of Lake Lawn Metairie . Friends are invited to the home of Tambi & Richard Delcambre following the interment to share memories and funny stories of Myrna. The family would like to request that masses be said for her instead of flowers. |

Obituary: On morning at 10:00 a.m. 5, 2017, CLYDE W DYERSON, JR. passed away in peace at Canon Hospice in Jefferson, LA from an unexpected illness. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Martha and Clyde Dyerson, Sr., his sister Linda D McLaughlin and his wife of 56 years Myrna C Dyerson. He is survived by his two daughters and their spouses, Tambi D Delcambre and Richard P Delcambre and Karen D Rogers and Vincent Rogers. He is also survived by his niece Lisa M Martinez and her spouse Tom and their family, two nephews Michael McLaughlin and Kent McLaughlin and his spouse Toni and their family, all of Kansas City. He is also survived by the light of his heart and soul, his only grandchild, Joshua A Delcambre and his fiancée Ashley Anastasio. working for over forty years at J. Ray McDermott he retired the month Josh was born so he could spend almost all of his time with him. Joshua loved his Grandpa with all his heart and soul. weren't just Grandpa and grandson, they were best friends. were blessed enough to have almost 25 years together and Josh was by his side in hospice as his Grandpa took the final steps of his earthly journey. Clyde served his country during the Korean conflict from May 24th, 1954 through May 23, 1956. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas in 1956. He worked a few jobs before going to work for Mobil Oil in Lafayette. He worked for them until he was hired by J. Ray McDermott in Amelia, LA. He met his future wife, Myrna L Cooksley in Morgan City, LA. married in 1959. He lived in Morgan City until 1981 when he was transferred to the McDermott offices in New Orleans, LA. He was a resident of Kenner, LA for 35 years until his death on . As per his wishes, there will be a private inurnment in the All Saints Mausoleum at Metairie in New Orleans, LA in the niche with his beloved wife. |
