Obituary: Carl "Pee Wee" Drounette, age 84, went to his Eternal on , 7, 2016. Pee Wee worked at Citgo for over 39 years as a Boilermaker. He loved gardening, fishing, reading, watching old westerns, traveling, and camping. He was also a LSU and Saints football fan, and enjoyed having his children and grandchildren over to watch the game. Pee Wee was known for his sense of humor and loved to pick with people. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed greatly. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Erline Drounette; three daughters, Debbie Parker and husband, Ricky, Carla Palumbo and fiance', Daren Hudson, and Kimberlie Gatte and husband, John; seven grandchildren, Cory, Derrick, James, Haley, Jessica, Kallie, and Brodey; a brother, Wallace Drounette and wife, Stella; a brother-in-law, Fulton Manuel and wife, Norma Jean; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Scott and husband, Alec, and Elaine Armer; five great-grandchildren and one on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews. Obituary: Jacqueline Claire Nain Drouilhet, 79, died peacefully on 6, 2013. Daughter of the late William J. Patsy Boyle Nain and late Hazel Long Nain, Jackie was born and lived in New Orleans until relocating to Houston in 2005. She graduated from St. Marys Dominican High School. She received a B.S. in Education from St. Marys Dominican , where she wrote poetry and stories for the literary magazine. While teaching first grade, Jackie met and married her beloved husband of 35 years, the late John Charles Charlie Drouilhet, Jr., and was the devoted mother to their five children: Patricia Windham and Terence Skelton of Metairie, LA; Elizabeth Sampson of Gainesville, VA; Patrick William Drouilhet of Houston, TX; and the late Dr. John Charles Drouilhet, III; and proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Jackie continued to teach elementary school during her childrens early years and later enjoyed teaching water exercise classes and substitute teaching. She served as scout leader, room mother, and other volunteer roles with her childrens activities. She also volunteered with various community organizations. Jackie enjoyed writing and illustrating treasured poetry and stories for her family, often given on birthdays, usually featuring their beloved pets. She instilled in her family her faith, courage, the desire to learn and serve, as well as her love of pets and plants, creative arts and music, especially New Orleans Jazz. A memorial service will be held for Jackie on 20, 2013 at Jacob Schoen & Son , 3827 Canal St. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. with a Rosary at 11:15 and Mass at Noon. Obituary: The life of Paul Bernard Drouant Jr. will be celebrated at 10:00 am on , 27, 2017, at Lake Lawn Metairie , 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. He passed away at the age of 74 on 21, 2017 at his home in Slidell. He is survived by his son, Paul B Drouant lll, of Slidell, his daughters, Lauri Drouant Smith (Gordon) of Ponchatoula, and Angie Drouant Dugas (Michael) of Madisonville. He was a wonderful grandfather to Bailey Anne Drouant, Joseph Paul Dugas, Zachary Michael Dugas, and Dustin Paul Dugas. He is also survived by one sister, Marion Drouant Marsella of Slidell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia Baronich Drouant, his parents, Paul B. Drouant Sr. and Theresa Oddo Drouant. Paul was a United States Marine, and a retired New Orleans Police Department Lieutenant, having served New Orleans for 28 years. He enjoyed retirement for the past 23 years. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Dronett of Lake Charles; 3 sons, Charles Lee (Chazz) Dronett of Moss Bluff, Kevin Todd Dronett of Lake Charles, Terrence Adrian (Snapper) Dronett of Lake Charles; 2 daughters, Letha Ray Brown of Lake Charles, Kimberly Ann Dronett of Lake Charles; 1 sister, Cheryl Manuel of Lake Charles; twin sisters, Lana Dronett Kyeer and Linda Dronett Lopez and husband, Leonard Lopez, Sr.; 7 grandchildren, Beau Brown, Trisha Stroderd, Faran Brown, Devin Dronett, Chelsea Dronett, Quinton Tharp and Isabella Briann Dronett as well as a great grandchild, Bryclyn Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Lee Dronett and Ludy Reed Manuel; sister, Wanda Lee Dronett Hargrove. Services will be 1 p.m. , 16, 2011 at Hixson of Lake Charles. Rev. Glenn George will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata . Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. evening and will resume at 8 a.m. morning. Obituary: Mary Pamme Dronet, 54, formerly of Cameron, passed away surrounded by family and friends on , 5, 2016 at a local hospital. Pamme had a huge heart and loved life to the fullest, always helping others. She made everyone feel loved and accepted. Pamme never met a stranger and would always embrace you with a huge hug. She loved all animals, especially her dogs. Pamme was preceded in death by her parents E.J. and Mary Hazel Dronet; brother Terry Patrick Dronet and sister Rhondanea Ann Dronet. Survivors include her dog Remington, her son Terry T.J. Joseph Dronet, numerous loving family members and lifetime friend Debra Taylor Dupuy. A funeral will be , 8, 2016 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at Hixson in Lake Charles. Rev. Wayne Dartez will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Highland Memorial Gardens in Lake Charles. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a local animal shelter.
