Obituary: Doris Gautreau Decoteau passed away at 7:20 a.m., , May 05, 2015 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice surrounded by her family. Doris lived a long and fulfilling life, having died at the age of 92. She was a native and resident of Gonzales, a life-long member of St. Theresa of Avila and St. Mark Catholic Churches and active member of the Ladies Altar Society. Visitation will be at St. Mark Catholic Church in Gonzales on , May 7, 2015 from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am. Entombment to be in St. Theresa cemetery. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Yvonne D. Templet, and Sharon D. and Jerry Bedgood; four sons and daughters-in-law Norris Decoteau, Ronnie and Cecile Decoteau, Glenn and Beverly Savoy Decoteau and Richard and Phyllis Clouatre Decoteau; grandchildren Brad, Jeff, Mike, Ashley, Rachel, Amy, Joey, Brandon, Beau, Dana, Angelle, Ryan, Scott, Andrea, Alyson and Alysha, 39 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 15 step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Marie Gautreau and Bernard and Betty Gautreau. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Herman J. Decoteau, her parents Alcide and Agnes Babin Gautreau, her brothers and sisters Layton, Feltus, Donald and Dayton Gautreau, Leola Decoteau and Lois Templet. He was loved by everyone he met and was always ready to help anyone in need. Dwain enjoyed antique car shows, browsing antique stores and gardening. He was happiest when he spent time with his family and grandchildren. Obituary: John C. DeCorte, age 94, passed away on , 22, 2012. Mr. DeCorte was a native and lifelong resident of the New Orleans area. Beloved husband of Mary Rose Molinario DeCorte for 55 years. Father of Dr. Raymond DeCorte and his wife Susan, David DeCorte and his wife Celeste and the late Paula Mary DeCorte. Grandfather of Rachel DeCorte McCloskey and her husband Mitch, Emily DeCorte, Cecilia DeCorte, Sophia DeCorte, Benjamin DeCorte and Joseph DeCorte. Preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester DeCorte and Catherine Schiro DeCorte and 10 brothers and sisters. Mr. DeCorte was a retired independent insurance and real estate agent. He was a WWII Army veteran serving in the European Theater and was a member of the VFW. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Ann Church, corner of Transcontinental Dr. and Loveland St. in Metairie, LA on , 27, 2012 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Mass to follow at 11:00 AM. Private inurnment will be in Garden of Memories at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the veterans organization of your choice.
