Obituary: Jonathan Michael Dascher passed away 6, 2014. A graduate of Eustis High School and member of the 2003 State Championship high school baseball team; he perused his dream of becoming a mechanical engineer, where he completed his degree at Kettering University in Mechanical Engineering in addition to belonging to the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Motivated and driven, Jonathan began an internship at UPS South East & Central Region Headquarters and upon graduation, was recruited by the worlds largest oilfield servicing company, Schlumberger, in 2008 as a Fluid and Sample and Analysis Field Engineer where he recently received his 5 year award. He is survived by his parents Dr. Phillip and Margaret Peggy Holtz Dascher, his fiancée Natasha Brockhaus, sister, Jeanna Zastoupil, nephew Branden Zastoupil, grandmother, Bertha Holtz, uncles; Bruce Holtz(Sue) and Richard Holtz. Cousins; Keith Holtz, Cheri Holtz, Sarah Holtz, Matthew Holtz. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Darlene Sell (Eric), sister-in-law Payton Sell, father-in-law, Timothy Brockhaus and sister-in-law, Narissa (Davis) Kaylor, grandmother-in-law, Linda (Richard) Lindaas and many Great Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Fraternity Brothers, Andrew Cooke along with many, many, childhood friends and numerous family members. Jonathan enjoyed the great outdoors, boating, fishing, remodeling his 1969 Camaro and most of all: hunting with his family in Wisconsin. He loved his friends, family, and his faithful dog, Buck with all he had and will be greatly missed. He is reunited in heaven with his wife of 72 years, Alma Chiasson Dasch, his parents Emit and Albertine Trauth Dasch and brother Joseph Dasch. He is survived by his son Merrill J. Jim Dasch Jr. (Barbara), daughter Lucy Dasch Allen (Loyd) and grandchildren Laurie Abate Ball, Patrice Abate Millet (Mickey), Marcel J. Abate (Penny), Jody Dasch Kling (Andy), Mikel Dasch, Kenneth Allen (Lilliana), and Wendy Allen Cochran (Darrell). He also leaves behind 19 great grandchildren and 5 great- great grandchildren to cherish his memory. Obituary: Nathaniel Ryan Darveau Shreveport, LA Nathaniel Ryan Darveau, our dear Nathan, was suddenly called by our Heavenly Father on 15, 2013. Nathaniel means Gift from God in Hebrew; and we were able to enjoy Nathan for a precious 29 years, 3 months and 20 days. Greeting him in Heaven were his maternal grandparents, Janie and Orin Swanson; paternal grandparents, Anita and Frances Darveau; and his Uncle Robert Beloso. Saying a sad good-bye are his mother and stepfather, Robin and Jimmy Herrin; his father, Michael Darveau; and Nathans big sister Dianna Davis Woodson and her little girl, Kaylee Ann who made Nathan laugh. Kaylee Anns love and accomplishments as a good student and talented barrel racer made Nathan a proud uncle. Nathans extended family include: stepsisters, Heather Hebron and Melinda Preston; Melindas daughters, Nicole and Nataleigh; and his cousin, Melissa Bryan. Nathan enjoyed having a step-big-brother, James Herrin IV (Little Jimmy.) Nathan was especially blessed with Ashlea Elizabeth, his soulmate and their little girl, McKinzy Lea. Nathan loved his little Kinzey and her momma like crazy! Nathan was well-loved by many: including his other-mother, Ms. Heidi Evans; Parkway Panther Alumni; co-workers from the Horseshoe Casino, Chillis and the Olive Garden; and current classmates and professors from Bossier Parish Community (BPCC.) Nathan was very proud of his academic record at BPCC; having made the Deans List throughout his tenure. Nathan was looking forward to graduating with his Criminal Justice Degree in 2014. Nathans accomplishments included being a student representative for BPCCs Student Government Association, and an inductee into the International Honor Society of Community s. Nathan was working closely with his professors to establish the first Criminal Justice Association at BPCC and will be able to witness the fulfillment of this dream from Heaven. Nathan loved school and loved reading. Therefore; in lieu of flowers, friends and family are requested to donate a copy of their favorite childrens storybook. These books will be placed in Nates Reading Corner in his mothers kindergarten and first grade special-needs classroom at Sun City Elementary School in Bossier City. Obituary: Robert Joseph Darton, of Bossier City passed away on 19, 2017 from a brief fight with cancer. Robert was born in New York City on 26, 1923 to Mary Applegate and Robert Joseph Darton I. his parents divorced he briefly lived with his aunt and uncle, Gene and Essie Parker. His mother remarried Arthur Emley and they moved to a farm in Creamridge, New Jersey, where he lived until enlisting in the Navy in 1941. He was in boot camp in Newport, RI and went to aviation mechanics school in Jacksonville, Fla. which the Navy assigned him to VP52 PBY squadron based out of San Pedro, Ca. the Pearl Harbor attack he was stationed in Natal, Brazil on a PBY base performing anti-submarine warfare, search and rescue and other critical missions. Natal he transferred to Key West, Fla. and then on to Port Leodia, North Africa. He was also sent to France briefly and spent time in Naples, Italy. He returned to San Pedro and was later assigned to a Navy Ferry Squadron on Whidbey Island near Seattle. ferried PBYs from a base in the Aleutian Islands to and from the assembly and repair plant in Philadelphia. Near the end of his service in 1946 he transferred to Floyd Bennet field in New York. Bob had made plane trips in and out of Shreveport during his service and decided he would settle there instead of New York. In Shreveport he met Tommie Jo Hale of Pecan Gap, Texas on a blind date and they married in of 1946. To this marriage three children were born, Mary Lynn, Donna Gayle and Michael Robert. Bob worked for many years for Railway Express Agency and later for Conco Foods as transportation manager. Jo and Bob lived for many years in a home in Bossier City. He and Jo had a love of flowers and gardening. Jo passed away in 2002 and Bob stayed in their home until 2014. Bob worked as a volunteer for the Bossier Sheriffs Dept. on patrols and the Operation Blessing Food program. He moved to an Assisted Living facility and then to the NW LA War Veterans . He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo; daughter, Donna; parents, Mary and Arthur, Gene and Essie and sister, Betty. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Mickie (Mary Lynn) and husband Clem Sevde; son, Michael Darton and wife Jeannie; son in law, David Randolph; grandchildren, Andrea Bartman, Emily Horrell, Chris and Amanda Randolph, Jessica Wright, Lori Christensen, Samantha Darton and Jacob Darton and great grandchildren, Morgan, Marin, Cadence, Makenna, Jocelyn, Kincaid and Colton. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Operation Blessing. Services will be held at Hill Crest Memorial on , 5, 2017. Visitation from 10 to 11AM, at 11AM. There will be a private family burial. |

He was a member of Herringville Baptist Church in Monticello, LA and a long time truck driver for Raley Bros. Melvin is survived by two children Mel Dartlone and wife Phyllis of Transylvania, LA and Dee Dee Clement and husband Mark of Lake Providence, LA; two granddaughters Jill Hines and husband Kyle of Katy, TX and Haley Dartlone of Transylvania, LA; a sister Wanda Woodard and husband Tommy of Yazoo City, MS; his wife & companion Othell Mize of Delhi, LA and her children Eddie & Debbie Mize, Chris Mize, Eutonna & Gary Koppie, Jeff & Camille Mize, Keith & Debbie Mize; Donna Mize, Carol White and Jennifer & Phillip Windham and 23 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He is also survived by Margarets children Teresa & James Rinicker, Tommy & Carman Bankston, Terri & Pam Bankston and Tina & Tony Yates and her 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Obituary: Triston James Dartez, 8, a native and resident of Larose, passed away on , 8, 2016. Visitation will be held on , 11 at Falgout in Galliano from 5 until 8 pm and , 12 at Holy Rosary Church in Larose from 9:30 until 11. A Mass of Christian of Burial will be held at the church starting at 11 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Triston is survived by his loving parents, Sidney and Asia Dartez; grandparents, Gilbert DuBois and Jill DuBois, Dallas Dartez (Veronica) and Debra Winch (Maynard); great grandparents, Gladys Istre, Irene Dartez, Bernice DuBois; Godparents, Owen DuBois (Brittny) Devon Pitre (Bud); lil brothers, Kaden and Kasen Cheramie; aunts and uncles, Jeff Dartez and Rachel Glandon (Brian). He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Alton Istre, Dallas Dartez, Sr., Carroll Terrebonne, Sr., Judy Terrebonne, Gilbert DuBois, Sr., and cousin, Kayle Cheramie. Triston was a bundle of joy with the best personality. He had a heart of gold and always put a smile on someones face, no matter what the situation.
