Frank J. Dempsey, 86, of Kokomo, formerly of South Bend, passed away at 2:53 a.m. on  , May 22, 2016 at his home. 
Frank was born in South Bend, Indiana to the late Joseph P. and Theresa Collins Dempsey. He married Virginia Ginny Byrum on   15, 1951. Frank worked as a salesman to supply barbers with products and equipment for most of his life. He formed his own family business in 1973, which he later sold to his son in 1994. He enjoyed his relationship with his former customers and frequently accompanied his son on his route in his later years. He also enjoyed bluegill fishing and mushroom hunting. 
Frank is survived by his wife Virginia Ginny Dempsey; daughters, Donna (John) Werner of Rochester and Karen (Greg) Wittig of Knox; sons, Steve Dempsey of Kokomo and Jack Dempsey of Chicago; granddaughter, Sarah (Ian) Henisa of Indianapolis; grandsons, Ryan (Taylor) Wittig of Boston, MA, Chris (Cory) Wittig of Kailua, HI; great-grandson, Collin Wittig of Kailua, HI; sister, Carolyn (Ronald) Schmanske of Elkhart; and brother, Patrick (Barbara) Dempsey of Hendersonville, NC. 
Frank is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Louis ( ) (Arlene) Dempsey. 
A private family service will be held at a later date. 
In keeping with Franks wishes cremation is planned.
