Obituary: Early on morning with family present, Lola slipped the bonds of this earth to go rest in the bosom of God. Born Mar 23, 1938, she was the daughter of Richard and Mary Brown, The Sister of Ernestine Winters and A.C. Brown and the grandmother of Jared Debro who all preceded her in death. She earned her License Practical degree from Indiana University. Her passion for geriatric care, led her to work at two local nursing homes. In addition, she was very active in her community. She participated on the Board for Bloomington Township Trustee, Community Action Program serving as President, and was a pivotal stakeholder for the Bloomington Headstart program. She attended Second Baptist Church, Bloomington IN. She loved to travel. You could always count on seeing her present for her childrens sporting event regardless to where it was. She would travel to where ever her children were stationed to experience new things. Family was very important to her. God granted her the opportunity to share her love to 5 generations of children before calling her home. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, a sister, Lois Brandon, two brothers, Freddie Lee and Robert Lee Brown; seven children, Claudette Jordan, Mike Debro, Cynthia (Jef) Williams, Marcus (Kathy Duckett)Debro, Carolyn (Scott) Haugher, Sherman Debro, Seth Debro; 11 grandchildren, Jyda Tucker, LaQuinta Hudson, Joshua Williams, Amber Debro, Mary Nicole (Kyle) Wilson, Jacob {Kris) Williams, Elayne Robinson, Joshua Lashley, Arrianna Haugher, Gregory Haugher, and Isabella Debro; 10 great grans, Dawne` Tuggle, Richard Butler, Kamrion Wilson, Robert Jones Jr., Brian Dunn Sadler, Keandre Wilson, Angel Netherton, Phoenix Netherton, Karma Wilson, and Joiah Williams; one great great grandson, Jonathan Andrews III. In addition, there are a host of nieces and nephews who will keep her memories in their hearts forever. Visitation will be on May 20, 2016 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Day & Dermiah-Frye , 4150 E Third St. Services will be May 21, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Second Baptist Church, 321 N Rogers St. in Bloomington with Rev. Dr. Bruce Rose, Dr. Jeff Williams and Rev. Don Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. We the family, would like to thank our Mothers earth Angels, Jackie Coleman, Shanetta Williams, Help at and I.U. Hospice. Thanks for the countless hours you spent caring for her. |
