Obituary: Melba Louise Durden passed away on , 1, 2015 at the age of 77. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She enjoyed cake decorating and worked in the bakery business for more than 30 years. She really loved just being with her family more than anything else and enjoyed watching her grandchildren playing and growing up. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Delbert Durden; and parents, Louis B. and Nettie Cooper. She is survived by her children, a son, Del Durden; her daughters, Evonne Hyde (Chuck), Linda Byrd (Tim), and Mary Ellis; Grandchildren, Jeanna Hyde, Christina Taylor (Scotty), Crystal Ellis, Stephanie Byrd, and Heather England (Michael Clark); Great Grandchildren, Nathan England, Christopher Davis, and Elizabeth Byrd. services will be held on , 4th, at Ridouts Gardendale Chapel beginning at 11 AM. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale. |

Obituary: Jordan Lee Durden, age 21, of Tuscaloosa, died Feb. 21, 2010. Services will be 11 a.m. at Memory Chapel with Rev. Jason McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel , a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Harold E. Skippy White of Tuscaloosa and John W. Durden, Sr. of Monroeville. Survivors include his mother, Glenda White Durden of Tuscaloosa; his father, Lee Wilson Durden of Tuscaloosa; his sister, Candace Paige Durden of Tuscaloosa; his MiMi, JoAnn White of Tuscaloosa; his Nanny Lee, Lebron W. Durden of Monroeville; his step-grandmother, Marcia Durden of Jackson; and a host of family and friends. Jordan loved being outdoors, riding four-wheelers, fishing, hunting, and most of all, Alabama football. His life revolved around his family and friends. He was the best son in the world! He loved his mom, dad, sister, and MiMi. If you ever needed help, Jordan was there. One of Jordans biggest concerns was taking care of his family and his little sister, Candace. We will all miss him dearly. His life was cut short, but was full of great accomplishments. He graduated in 2006 from Hillcrest High School. He continued his education at ITT Tech where he graduated at the top of his class with honors in 2009. Jordan will always be remembered for being tenderhearted and caring. Pallbearers will be Patrick Jones, Brett Jones, Casey Jones, Lee W. Durden, Garrett Chandler, Korey Ryan, Wesley Hurst, and Chase Williams. Obituary: Colonel Mason Durden, age 79 went to be with Lord on 3rd, 2016, joining his parents, Mason and Mattie Durden, and his beloved son, Richard Dale Durden. Colonel is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley Glenn Durden; daughter, Barbara Durden Jones (James Stephen); daughter-in-law, Ginger Durden Coker (Joe); four grandchildren, Stephen Matthew Jones (Meghan McCollum), Rachel Michelle Jones, Zachary Dale Durden, and Mason Warren Durden; one great grandson, Graham Stephen Jones and one great granddaughter due ; and brother and sister -in-law, Carie and Agnes Glenn as well as numerous extended family. Obituary: DURBIN, Doris R., 77, a lifelong Autauga resident, passed away 24, 2015. services were held 26th at 2:00 PM at Ridouts Prattville Chapel with Pastors Richard Lucas and Lance Eiland officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion-Rawlinson . Mrs. Durbin was born 9, 1938 in Autauga to the late G.H. Rawlinson and Buther Watts Rawlinson. She was a pre-school teacher with over 20 years of service at Kiddie in Prattville. During her many years of service she taught countless numbers of children. She was an excellent role model, mentor, wife, mother, sister and friend. She was a 1956 graduate of the Hicks School in Autaugaville and a lifetime member of Mt. Zion. She enjoyed cooking, Bible study and fellowship. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends and family on a night. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by two daughters, Cindy and Fran Durbin; father and mother in law, W.O. Durbin, Jr. and Donie Durbin; brothers John L. Rawlinson, Hershel Rawlinson; sisters Corrine McKinney, Josie Jones, Ruth Rawlinson; a son in law, Henry Punk Barber. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Frank Durbin; daughter Pat Landvik and her husband Brian and daughter Kim Durbin; grandchildren Brandon Barber and his fiancée Haley Prescott, Kim Barber (David) Williams; great grandchildren Jake and Paxton Chavers; seven sisters and one brother, Christine Jones, Willodean Deavers, Eva (Bob) Green, Brenda (Jimmy) Hancock, Agnes (Bob) Smith, Margaret (Winston) Edwards, Betty (Ray) Dennis, Pam (Earl) Mims, Phyllis (Jimmy) Edwards; a brother Andy (Fran) Rawlinson; brothers in law and sisters in law Billy and Shirley Durbin, Jimmy and Judy Durbin, Polly and Henry Crenshaw, Jeannie and Billy Sparks, Linda Missildine; and a host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
