Obituary: Charles Wesley DuBois, age 89, died at his home , 22, 2014. Charles was born in Cherokee, Alabama to Mattie Camila and James William DuBois on 11, 1924. Upon graduation from high school in Tuscumbia, AL. he joined the U.S. Army where he served with distinction in several theaters including New Guinea and the Philippines throughout WWII. the war, he attended Auburn University and graduated with a B.S. in Biology in 1951. graduation he moved to Pensacola, FL where he met and married his wife, Elizabeth Ann Wilson. were married for 59 years. His 30
year career with Monsanto began in Pensacola and ended here in Decatur where he was employed for the majority of those years.

Charles was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Decatur, AL. He enjoyed working for many years with the youth school classes keeping records and assisting wherever he could. He loved traveling and spending time outdoors, hiking and camping with his wife and family. He was an accomplished hunter, fisherman, spouse, father, grandfather and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, a brother and his wife Liz. He is survived by his three daughters: Dawn DuBois of Los Angeles, CA; Lesley DuBois Jones (David) of Nashville; Kendal DuBois Moores (Jack) of Decatur; and five grandchildren, Charles Curran Moores, Wesley Cole Jones, Kendal Summar DuBois Jones, Elizabeth Lily Grace Hess; Jon Holman Moores III.

services will be on , 25, 2014 at 10:30 am, in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Decatur. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until time of service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetary. Rev. Roger Jenkins will officiate.

Obituary: Marjorie Jeanne Dubina, born 4, 1924, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on , 21, 2016, just two weeks shy of her 92nd birthday. She graduated with honors from Indiana University in 1946 with majors in both English and journalism and from Troy State University in 1970 with an M.Ed. in English. She leaves behind her son, Judge Joel and Beth Dubina of Montgomery, Alabama, son, Daniel and Vicky Dubina, of San Diego, California and daughter, Kate and Henry Seawell, of Perdido Beach, Alabama, as well as first cousin, Walt (Barbara) Abel of Temple Terrace, Florida. She leaves behind nine grandchildren: Britton (John) Laughlin, Congresswoman Martha (Riley) Roby, Mitchell (Mandy) Dubina, Hannah (Wael) Tadros, Sarah (Tristan) Davenport, Emily Dubina, Joel (Stacey) Seawell, Henry (Kristyn) Seawell, Daniel Seawell and eleven great-grandchildren: Jack, Elizabeth and Miles Laughlin, Margaret and George Roby, Elise and Mitchell Dubina, Jameson, Everleigh, George and Emily Seawell. In addition, nieces and nephews Melissa (Joe) Spangler, Mark (Katy) Dubina and Bruce Dubina, great nephews Nicholas and Daniel Kaplan and great niece Katherine Dubina, and close personal friends Hazel Quiggins, Betty Brislin, Helen Till, Betty Little and Anne Richardson and her many fellow educators and students.
Marjorie married her husband George at the end of WWII in Washington, D.C. later moved to Washington, D.C. where George, who served in the War Crimes Section of the Office of Strategic Services during the war, was instrumental in putting together the evidence the United States used to prosecute top Nazi war criminals at the Nuremberg War Trials in Nuremberg, Germany. The OSS became the Central Intelligence Agency and it was after the U.S. Government wanted to send George to China, he and Marjorie began looking for other opportunities. In 1950, they moved to Montgomery, Alabama where George became Command Historian at Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base. He served in that position until his death in 1975. In 1959, Marjorie began teaching English at Sidney Lanier High School until Jefferson Davis High School opened where she continued teaching and serving for a brief time as a guidance counselor. Her real love, however, was the classroom. Her last move was to The Montgomery Academy where she became head of the English Department and for whom an award in her honor for excellence in English is given each year at graduation.
she retired, she continued in public service working as a pink lady at Baptist South for over 20 years, as a Volunteer in Police Service at the Montgomery Police Department for which she received an award and as a receptionist at her beloved Trinity Presbyterian Church. She also did volunteer work in her retirement at MACOAs Meals on Wheels, Patterson School and Landmarks Foundation.
The family wishes to thank the staff at John Knox for the superb care they gave Marjorie and also to the many sitters who attended to her during her illness.
There will be a private family burial on , 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church with visitation afterwards in the Westminster Room.
Pallbearers will be grandsons John Laughlin, Riley Roby, Mitchell Dubina, Joel Seawell, Henry Seawell and Daniel Seawell. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Bloodworth School Class.

Obituary: Normand Adelard Joseph Dube, 72, passed away at his home on , 7th, 2016. He was born in Berlin, NH to Hector and Leanna (Gingras) Dube on May 26, 1944. Normand joined the United States Air Force in 1965 and proudly served our country for 22 years. The retired MSGT then spent an additional 20 years serving his community with the United States Postal Service. Normand is survived by his daughter, Karen Dube Steinhauer, and his son in law, Andy Steinhauer, of Prattville, AL, as well as, his sister, Jacqueline Dube Chabot, and several nieces and nephews. Obituary: Frances Ward Drysdale, age 92, passed away on 8, 2013. She was a resident of Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Drysdale; her daughter, Jane Drysdale; her granddaughter, Beth Reeves; and her parents, Mr. and L.T. Ward, Sr. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Ann Drysdale; her daughter and son-in law, Jodi and Bob Newton; her brother, L.T. Ward, Jr. and Joyce; her grandchildren: Brooke Standifer and Cliff, Bert Newton and JoAnna, James Drysdale and Peyton, Ross Newton and Allison, and Jennifer Trussell and Chris. She is survived by eleven great grandchildren: Evan Arrington; Kaleigh, Natalie, and Cade Jordan; Reese, Owen and Hank Newton; Quinn and Duncan Drysdale; Christopher Trussell, and Thomas Newton. She is also survived by niece, Terri Ward; and nephews, Taylor, Tim, and Tom Ward. Her special caretakers, Annie and Tonya Ezelle, were dear to her in her final months of life. She found great joy in family and friends; she loved visits to the beach and to the lake; and she loved reading and card games. Her kindness, dear sweet spirit, and deep faith were with her all of her days.
She was born in Carbon Hill, Alabama, grew up in Bessemer, Alabama, and spent most of her life in Bessemer. She graduated from the University of Montevallo (then Alabama ) with a BA degree, later a MA degree and did additional graduate work at the University of Alabama and at Northwestern University. Her first work was as a USO program director. She later taught in Bessemer Schools for 30 years, followed by 11 years as principal of St. Aloysius School in Bessemer.
Frances Drysdale was an active member of Bessemer First United Methodist Church for many years, teaching School and holding leadership roles. She was later a member of Glen Hills Methodist Church and served on its board for twenty years. In recent years she worshiped at Riverchase Methodist Church.
She was chosen as First Lady of the Year from Beta Sigma Phi International for community service. She was a member of honorary organizations: Zeta Phi Eta and Kappa Delta Pi. She served for years on the Bessemer Library Board, was President of the Bessemer Education Association, and sponsored the Bessemer Junior Story League for 18 years. She was well known for her dramatic readings and book reviews for community groups. She was a national speaker and an artist, a woman who used her many talents to serve others.
Visitation will be 1:00p.m. \ 2:30 p.m. , 11, 2013, at Rideouts Southern Heritage , Pelham, Alabama, followed by the 3:00 p.m. service in Southern Heritage Chapel. Her honorary pall bearers are Robert Moore, her life-long friend, and Bo Templin, who provided much support.

Obituary: Graveside services for Margaret C. Dryden, 87, of Anniston, will be 11 am at Forestlawn Gardens with Rev. Truman ODell officiating. Mrs. Dryden died at NHC .

Survivors include two daughters, Ann Dryden Sprayberry and Mary Dryden Booker (Jerry), one son, John Dryden (Myra), one grandson Joey Dryden and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dryden is preceded in death by her husband Chester Dryden, grandson, Nick Dryden and son-in-law, Don Sprayberry.

Mrs. Dryden was a native of McCormick, SC, and a resident of Anniston since 1945. She was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church and retired from Kitchins
