Obituary: Bertha Craig Dixon passed away peacefully 31, 2010, at Odyssey Hospice, surrounded by her family following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She would have been 80 years old on 2, 2011. She was preceded in death by her mother. Bertha Scofield Craig and father, James W. Craig, Sr.; her beloved son Benjamin "Randy" Dixon, Jr.; her precious grandchildren Paul Evan Etheridge and Melanie Leigh Etheridge.; Sister Lois C. Miller; Brothers John Craig, Oliver Craig, Richard Craig, William Craig, Charles T. Craig. She is survived by her husband Benjamin; daughters Margaret Lois Wood and Phyllis Dixon Etheridge, granddaughter Carrie Marie Combs, great grand children Morgan Leigh Barron, Mackinley Kenneth Combs, Maitland Marie Combs and Melanie Leigh Combs. Sisters Lily Mae Vigneault and Julia Ann Hendricks; Brother James William Craig, Jr. and many loved nieces, nephews and friends. She was a long time resident of Dekalb county. She was an entrepreneur, owning her own beauty shop for many years, as well as a homemaker. She married her childhood sweetheart and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past . She was a friend to many and was always ready to help her family and friends. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be missed and we look forward to greeting her in heaven. Obituary: Annie Mae Bashlor Dixon, 84, of St. Marys, GA died , 26, 2011 at St. Vincents Medical in Jacksonville, FL. services will be held at 1 PM on , 28, 2011 at Kingsland First United Methodist Church with Rev. W.A (Chip) Strickland officiating. Entombment will follow the service at 4 PM in Evergreen in Jacksonville, FL. Family will receive friends , 28, 2011 one hour prior to the service time at Kingsland First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Dixon was a native of Bryan and had been a resident of Camden for 52 years. She was born 30, 1926 to the late William Francis and the late Ronnie Schuman Bashlor. Mrs. Dixon was a homemaker and a former member of the Kingsland Womens Club. She was also a member of the Kingsland First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Sammy Dixon; her daughter: Patricia Dixon Adams; her sister: Lizzie Cox; and her brother: Carlton Bashlor. Survivors include her son: Keith Dixon (Katherine); grandson: Hampton Dixon all of Kingsland, Georgia; daughter: Laura Lynn Dixon Kistner (Pat) of San Diego, CA; three sisters: Ruby Turner of Savannah, GA; Elloree Kennedy of Claxton, GA and Jean Helmey (George) of Savannah, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to be made to the Kingsland First United Methodist Church, 120 East William Avenue, Kingsland, GA 31548.
