Obituary: James Albert Coaker, 84, of Fruitdale entered into rest , 15, 2015 in Mobile. Graveside funeral services will be , 18, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Grace Williams . Mr. Coaker was a native and lifelong resident of Fruitdale, AL and a member of the Brethren Church. He was a Korean War veteran service in the US Air Force. Mr. Coaker was an active and faithful supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Disabled American Veterans Charity, Veterans of Foreign War, and the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Mrs. Coaker was born in the Laton Hill community on May 19, 1929 to Bennie Gene Scarbrough and Edith Williams Scarbrough.For the past thirty years, she was a member of Minerva United Methodist Church. She loved sewing, traveling, puzzles, flying kites and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Woodrow Coaker son, Benny Gene Coaker and her parents. Survivors include her five children: Arthur Wayne (Sarah) Coaker of Millry, AL, Jerry G. (Audrey) Coaker of Deer Park, AL, Dennis L. (Lisa) Coaker of McIntosh, AL, Ronald Woodrow (Martha) Coaker of Deer Park, AL and Michele C. Obituary: Edna J. Coaker, 67, a lifelong resident of Tibbie, AL, passed away on , 4, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Coaker was born on 4, 1948 to Wililam Franklin James and Vieva Loper James. She loved spending time watering her flowers and with her family. Throughout her sickness Mrs. Coaker continued to put God first and used her situation as a wonderful testimony to His glory and grace. She will be remembered as a loving wife and devoted mother who loved her family and church family dearly. Preceding her in death were her father, William Franklin James; mother, Vieva Loper James; and brother, M. L. Loper. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Claude Calvert Coaker; children, Chris Coaker (Regina) and Lorie Coaker (Holly); grandchildren, Josh Coaker and Olivia Coaker; sister, Linda Coaker (Aaron); nieces and nephews, Randy Coaker (Melinda) and Charlotte Warr (Jon); great nieces and nephews, Drake Warr, Hunter Warr, Jon Houston Warr, Dawson Coaker and Lauren Coaker; special friends, Carol McIlwain, Lauren Maurer and Taylor; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. He worked as a bus shop foreman with the Washington Board of Education for 13 years. Mr. Coaker was a member of South Oak Grove Baptist Church in Fruitdale, AL. Preceding him in death were his parents, Newt and Alma Coaker, brother, Charles Arthur Coaker and sisters, Nora Bell Kelley and Audrey Dukes. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandra M.
