Obituary: for Coy William Clem, 87, of Decatur, will be , 21, 2010, at 3 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Bro. Danny McMullins officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn . Visitation will be from 1 to 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Clem, who died, , 19, 2010, at Falkville , was born 7, 1922, in Limestone to Earl Clem and Maggie Norman Clem. He retired from the State of Alabama after 30 years service as a Draw Bridge Tender on the Keller Memorial Bridge in Decatur, served 35 years with Decatur Dixie Youth baseball, and many years with the Decatur Boys and Girl Club. He was a World War II veteran and served in Normandy and Central Europe. Mr. Clem was preceded in death by his wife, Tera Collins Clem; daughter, Linda Clem Hill; and grandson, Ron Hardiman. Survivors include sons, Donnie Clem and wife, Vonda, of Athens, Danny Clem and wife, Tammy Clem, of Falkville, Stanley Clem and wife, Carol, of La., and Robert Clem and wife, Etta, of Decatur; daughters, Edna Hardiman and husband, Ronnie, of Hazel Green, and Coyce Young and husband, Robert, of Huntsville; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. |
