Obituary: Clyde Allen Christian, age 84, of Mobile, passed away , May 28, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jessie Long Christian; seven children, Donna (Sammy) Gibbs, Sam (Michelle) Christian, Kevin (Kerry) Christian, Flynn (Donna) Christian, Lori Christian, Anne Christian, and Matthew (Dawn) Christian; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mr. Christian was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Christian and Alice Mae Allen Christian; a daughter, Mary Alice Christian; and a sister. He spent over 40 years in dedicated service with Mobile Fire Department. Visitation will be , May 31, 2017, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Obituary: Bobby Jess Buck Christian passed away on the morning of , 23, 2017, in Mobile, AL. Born in Howell Community, MS, Buck raised his family in Saraland, AL, where he was a resident for over 60 years and a longtime member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Throughout his life, Buck enjoyed raising beagles for rabbit hunting, traveling the country with his wife and friends in his camper, and gardening on his land in MS. No matter where he might find himself, Buck never met a stranger. Buck is survived by his three children, Bobby (Sally) Christian of Rutledge, AL, Sheila (Rodney) Smith of Saraland, AL, and Chris (Carmen) Christian of Satsuma, AL; his six grandchildren, Doug Christian, Lee Christian, Jason Smith, Tiffany Tomko, Caleb Christian, and Cody Christian; his eleven great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Wayne (Kay) Christian, Sheree (Jeff) Rogers, and Marie (Bobby) Dunaway. He is predeceased by his wife, Willie Pierce Christian, father, Robert Wilson Christian, mother, Adele Edwards Christian, and sister, Christian Casey. Obituary: Rose Marie D. Christensen, a native of Chicago, IL, and long-time resident of Mobile, AL, joined our loving Father in Heaven on 27, 2015. She was 82 years old. A devoted wife, mother, and aunt, Mrs. Christensen graduated from Holy Family Academy in Chicago and worked in downtown Chicago before moving to Wheaton, IL, where she started her family. A devout Catholic, Mrs. Christensen belonged to numerous parishes throughout her life and was most recently a member of Corpus Christi Parish. Mrs. Christensen is survived by her son Michael Paul (Janine) Christensen; daughter (Janet Marie Christensen Ayers); grandchildren (Danielle Aileen Christensen, Sarah Rose Christensen & Madison Rose Ayers); numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her Mother (Rose Sobush Dubernat); her Husband (Roland Robert Christensen); her Brother (Joseph Dubernat); and her Brother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law (Will and Dolores Blaul of Chicago). The family will receive friends on , 2, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Mobile, AL. A Mass will be celebrated at 6:00 p.m., with a reception immediately following mass. Memorials may be made to each person's preferred charity in honor of Rose Marie. Christensen. Mrs. Christensen will be laid to rest with other family members at Maryhill in Niles, IL. |
