Obituary: Thomas Richard Chapple went home to be with his Lord on , 7, 2017. He was a member of Mountain Brook Independent Church. Richard loved the Lord Jesus Christ and trusted him as his savior. He enjoyed the guitar and loved his pets, Molly and Toby. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. He considered the birth of his son, Brian, and his granddaughter, Emilie, to be two of the most important events is his life. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas A. and Ellen C. Chapple. He is survived by his son, Brian Leigh Chapple (Regina) of Wilsonville; sister, Barbara McAllister (David) of Birmingham and granddaughter, Emilie Chapple of Wilsonville. Visitation will be held on , 11, 2017 from 6pm to 8pm at Rockco (Montevallo). A graveside service will be held on , 12, 2017 at 9:30am at Alabama National in Montevallo, Alabama processing from Rockco at 9:15am. Bro. Steve Thomas will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Fisher House Foundation, a support group for veterans and their families. Donations can be made at www.fisherhouse.org. |
