Obituary: Bobbie Sue Hatcher Massey Chapman ( 29, 1939 - 23, 2016). was preceded in death by her beloved first husband of 27 years, Robert Fred Bob Massey, beloved second husband, Guy Perry Chapman, Jr., mother, Ruby Wright Hatcher Trower, father, Joseph Pate Hatcher, step-father, Roscoe Trower, and son-in-law, Jerry James. Bobbie is survived by her three daughters, Susan James, Patti Mordecai (Dennis), and Sandy Hess (John), seven grandsons, Adam Mordecai, Christopher James, Jonathan James, Blake Hess, Ryan Mordecai, Robert Hess, Andrew Hess, and great granddaughter, Emma Grace Mordecai. Bobbie was a member of Crestway Baptist Church. She dedicated most of her life to raising her family and in later years worked as a bank teller at PNC Bank. She was a devoted Auburn football fan, an animal lover who dearly loved her dog, a poodle named Piper. An open reception will be held at Ridouts Trussville Chapel on , 28, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Forest Crest . |

Chapman, 88, of Anniston passed away on , 5, 2015. services will be , 8, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the Family Life Chapel of Parker Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. Mack Amis and Dr. Billy Harris officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior in the Fireside Room. Mrs. Chapman is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Charles C. Chapman. She is also survived by her son, Alan Chapman (Kay); two grandsons Clark and Clay Chapman; and nieces, nephews and family friends, all of whom will long remember the wonderful times she shared with them. Mrs. Chapman was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all. The family would like to thank the staff of NHC Place for the care they gave her during the past year. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Parker Memorial Baptist Church. |
