Obituary: Gladys Marie Crane, born 31 1926, passed away 04 Nov 2014, in Jacksonville, FL, surrounded by her loving family. Marie was a resident of Jacksonville Beach, FL since 1962, where she worked as the Household Goods Officer at Naval Station, Mayport, FL for 24 years. In this position, she received many awards and accolades, including the Meritorious Civil Service Award. She enjoyed making quilts, taught her daughters to crochet, loved playing golf and bowling, and especially watching the University of Florida footballs games. GO GATORS!!! She was predeceased in 2001 by her husband of 35 years, Ellis Crane, and by her sister, Ernestine Campbell of Texas. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sisters Wanda Reynolds, Tincy Robinson, Peggy Boyd and Caroline Palmer, all of Texas; and 2 daughters, Gladys Mongeau and Pam Dickinson (Lynn), both of Jacksonville Beach, FL; four granddaughters, Melissa Mongeau Kelemen, Teresa Mongeau Williams (Brad), Suzanne Mongeau and Victoria Starnes Wright (Donell), all of Jacksonville Beach; 5 great granddaughters and 3 great grandsons. She also leaves behind 2 special people whom she loved like daughters \ Paula Walker Coenen and Connie Turbeville. The family wishes to thank Connie and all the wonderful people at Some Place Like , who took care of Mrs. Crane for the past 6 years. There is no better care than to be treated like family. are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Beaches Chapel (904)249-2374 located 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL. 32250. Obituary: Frances Marie Crane went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ at 9:45 am, 8, 2016. Frances was born on 12, 1942 in Herndon, WV. She and her family moved from Princeton, WV to Port Salerno, FL in 1978. She was a member of Beacon Baptist Church in Jupiter, FL and also enjoyed serving as a Gideon for the Palm Beach North Camp. She will always be remembered by her infectious smile, kind heart and her deep love of God and family. Frances is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 18 years, Henry Crane who passed away in 2015 and her first husband of 24 years, Ronald Taylor Jones, who passed away in 1988. She is survived by her three children, Randy Jones of Cypress, TX, Rusty Jones of Port St. Lucie, FL and Libby Smith of Merry Hill, NC and seven grandchildren. Sisters Sue White, Christeen Shawver, Claudine Harrison, Patricia Sherle and brother Donald Aliff. She is also survived by her step son, Sam Crane of Stuart and four step grandchildren and two great step grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 am on , 14, 2016 at Beacon Baptist Church, 11616 Indiantown Road, Jupiter, FL with services immediately following at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the memorial service. Burial will follow at Pine Rest , Port Salerno, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Beacon Baptist Church Missions Fund, 11616 Indiantown Road, Jupiter, FL 33478 Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, you will be forever loved and missed. |
