Obituary: The celebration of Sandra Maria Coleman began on 18, 1957 when she made her debut to the world in Boston, Massachusetts. Among eight siblings, she was the first daughter born to the late James Wilson Williams, Sr., and Grace Theresa Perriello. The young Sandra spent her early years in Boston until the family relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, where she attended elementary school. Not long before her 12th birthday, Sandra and her family moved across the country to California where Sandy attended both Marina Del Rey Middle School and Venice High School. Sandra was always known for her style, her beautiful face and her infectious laugh. It was in the early 1980s that her beauty and striking personality caught the attention of Philip Vance Coleman, II. The two were married on 25, 1984. The union of Philip and Sandy was firmly rooted in love and ultimately in the love of Christ as the couple began attending church services and eventually on 5, 1986, Sandra accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at San Gabriel Valley Christian . She was baptized that same year. Sandras devotion to her faith ran deep and was evident in everything she did. Sandra was a compassionate and committed mother to her four daughters, raising them each with strong Christian values and an unwavering sense of self. She was an active Team Mom participating in all of her girls activities. But her devotion to others extended far beyond her home. She was a Group Leader for various programs at her church, including Bible Study Fellowship, H.E.R. (Having Extravagant Relationships), and Moms In Touch. She also worked as an altar minister at Faith Community Church. She also touched the lives of many single mothers and the homeless within her community. An avid homemaker, Sandra was known for her pristine house. This was one of her greatest joys - opening her home up to others to cook, share a few good stories and hearty laughs. And when she wasn giving her time to others, Sandra enjoyed spending time by the pool or at the beach. She also found pleasure in gardening, acrylic and oil painting and interior decorating. She loved to make things beautiful. This was one of the many ways she celebrated life. Sandras life brought with it a tale of love. She found happiness in meeting new people, establishing friendships and sharing with those people the love of God. She found a way to weave fun into any fabric. Her family was not only her driving force, but part of her purpose. She worked diligently to raise up her girls and constantly surround them in the love that she knew from her Lord Jesus Christ. And not only was Sandra a woman who offered encouragement and hope, she was filled with a spiritual passion that touched each person who came into contact with her. She was a woman who was filled with a peace that could only come from being in the presence of the Lord. A single drop of water can cause an ocean to ripple; Sandyslifes legacy will live on in the ocean of lives shes touched. Sandra leaves behind to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy a loving husband of 27 years, Philip V. Coleman, II; her daughters, Natasha Harper (Aaron), Dionne, Alicia and Ashley Coleman; six charming grandchildren, Ayrion, Christopher, and Nathan Harper, Naomi Candelaria, Natalie Harper and AshtonNelson; her mother, Grace Perriello; stepfather, William Terry; brothers, Phillip, James (Theresa), Curtis Williams, and the lateWayne Pudgie Williams; sisters, Theresa Lisa Williams, and Rebecca Green (Mike); one brother-in-law, Eric Coleman (Yolanda); mother-in-law and father-in-law, Philip and Muriel Coleman; as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and close friends. |
