Obituary: Colleen Cavanaugh Coburger, age 86, of Pensacola, Florida went home to be with her Lord 20, 2015. She was born 24, 1928 in New Orleans, LA, to the late John Cavanaugh and Loretta Collins Cavanaugh. Mrs. Coburger was a charter member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and all the other enjoyments of life being a true homemaker. She was a loving, caring, nurturing mother and friend to many. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry James Hank Coburger; and her daughter, Maureen Coburger Wingard. Survivors include her beloved children, Linda Wilson of Valdosta, GA, David Coburger, Michael (Cecelia) Coburger, Fallon Coburger all of Pensacola, Rosemary (George) Minton of Swansboro, NC and Elizabeth Gutermuth of Pensacola, FL; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; her sisters, Cleo Wilson of Pascagoula, MS, Rosemary Mead of Atlanta, GA and Peggy Camus of Tampa, FL; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. A Celebration of Life will be , 27, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Father Nicholas Schumm officiating. Interment will follow at Barrancas National at 12:30 PM with the grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home , 26, 2015 from 5 until 7 PM with the rosary at 6 PM. Flowers are appreciated, also donations may be made to the Loaves and Fishes, 257 East Lee Street, Pensacola, FL 32503. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.oaklawnfunerals.com. Oak Lawn has been entrusted with the arrangements. |
