Obituary: CAUSBY, Thomas D Pawpaw, T.C., Top Cat, Tom Cat., of Prattville, passed away 14, 2014. Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM 16th at Ridouts Prattville Chapel followed by his funeral service at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Prattville Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Mr. Causby was born 13, 1927 in Morganton, N.C. to the late Horace J. Causby and Anna Hennessee Causby. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He later served as a firefighter at Maxwell A.F.B. and retired with forty years of combined military and government service. Mr. Causby was preceded in death by Sue, his loving wife of 51 years. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Dan and Margie Causby of Mooresville, N.C., Kerry and Debbie Causby of Prattville; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Edmunds and Craig Bush of Dallas, TX.; five grandchildren, Jenifer Bartlett, Melinda Powell, Andrew Edmunds, Kendall Causby, Kayla Causby; five great grandchildren, Kaylee Bartlett, Ryan Bartlett, Tyler Angley, Megan Powell, Jalen Powell. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mr. Causbys caregivers for their kindness, love and support. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. |

Obituary: 1, 1927 - 16, 2014 Dr. James B. Caulfield of Mountain Brook, AL passed 16th. James Caulfield had a long and productive career in medicine beginning with his selection to the V12 program during WW II. Then he served with the Marine Corp in his capacity as a physician during the Korean conflict. Dr. Caulfield received his medical degree from the University of Illinois and interned at the Cook Hospital. residency and post Doctorate work in anatomical pathology, Dr. Caulfield taught at Harvard University. Throughout his career, he conducted research in a variety of medical conditions including muscular dystrophy, diabetes, cancer, severe burns and heart disease. While at Massachusetts General Hospital, he was instrumental in the formulation of balloon angioplasty and was honored with the name, "the balloon man". Dr. Caulfield was Chairman of the Pathology Dept. at the University of South Carolina and later taught at UAB where he continued his research in heart disease for 25 years, retiring as Professor Emeritus. James Benjamin Caulfield was born in Minneapolis, MN to Olive Curtis and Linus (Larry) Joseph Caulfield. He grew up in Oak Park, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Virginia and survived by his children Ann, John and Clare, his grandchildren Ben, Leslie, and Parker, his great grandchildren Teagan and Kathleen and by his brother L. Thomas Caulfield as well as many nieces and nephews. Obituary: William Clyde Cauley, 81, of Chickasaw, passed away 14, 2016 at his residence after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born 1, 1934. graduating from Jackson High School in 1952, he served in the U.S. Army, worked for Vanity Fair Mills in Jackson and then began a career with the U.S. Postal Service. He retired as Postmaster with the Jackson Post Office. He loved music and enjoyed playing the fiddle with his many friends through the years. His favorite times were playing with “The J.P. Armistead Band” and “Mayton’s Western Swing Band.” He especially loved his times with his lifelong friends, “The Parkertown Boys.” He dearly loved his family and lived his life according to his favorite Bible verse, Micah 6:8. He is preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Flinn and Earl Leon Cauley; brother, Carl Cauley and daughter, Janet Cauley. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Motes Cauley; son, John Cauley; brother, Robert Cauley; sister, Elizabeth Cauley; granddaughters, Brandi, Brooke, Brittany; grandson, Blake and great-grandchildren, Layla and Tyler. services will be conducted at 1 p.m., , 16, 2016 at Lathan in Jackson with the Rev. y Howard, his nephew, officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens with Lathan directing.
