Obituary: Dateline: Sarasota, FL Clark, James Warren, 56, of Sarasota, Fl, died Aug. 16, 2014 at his home. Born in Skowhegan on Nov. 26, 1957, he was the son of Charles J. and Elinor (Rodden) Clark. James graduated from Kents Hill High School in the class of 1976 and then graduated from Elmira in NY with a bachelor degree. He was part owner of Chuck Clark Painting in Sarasota, FL. He enjoyed downhill skiing, downhill ski jumping and rock climbing during his school years. He was a faithful Dallas Cowboy Fan and became an avid golfer. He is survived by his mother, Elinor Clark of Madison, one brother, Charles Chuck Clark of Sarasota, FL, one uncle, Bruce Rodden of Madison, and several cousins. Visitation will be held 31, 2014 from 11 to 12 pm at the Smart & Edwards , 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine, a memorial service will follow at 12 at the funeral home with the internment to follow at the North New Portland . are under the care of Smart & Edwards , 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, ME 04976. He was born in Christopher, IL and was a Florida resident since 1977, coming from Eldorado, IL. He was a former Eldorado businessman and was a well known musician/band leader of the Jimmy Hudson Orchestra in Southern IL and surrounding areas. coming to Florida, he founded Downstate Securities Group. Mr. Clark was a US Army veteran, serving during World War II and was a Roman Catholic. Survivors include sons, Jerome H Clark (Patricia), and James M Clark (Meredith); daughters, Pamela S Baird (Allan Gorrow), and Tina E Watson (Wayne); a sister Sally K Carr (Carroll); ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Dorris Clark (nee Cochran). services will be held 20, 2012 at 12 noon at Moss Feaster Serenity Gardens Chapel in Largo. Visitation hours are scheduled for from 10 am to 12 noon. Entombment will follow in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park Lakeside Chapel Mausoleum. Obituary: Captain James Daniel Clark (56 years old) was pronounced dead on , 3rd. He was in process of treatment at the Jacksonville Mayo Clinic ICU. The cause of death was a brain aneurysm. Dan Clark was born, the second of six children, 13, 1953 in Raleigh, Mississippi to James Philbert and Ruby Clark. He earned a BS degree in Business Administration from Pacific Western University. Dan spent 20 years in the United State Marine Corp where he traveled the world and achieved the distinguished rank of Captain. the Marine Corp, Dan became a successful small business owner in both the Logistics/Distribution and Real Estate industries. He was happily married to Candace Clark for fifteen years. lived in the Ortega Forest area and often vacationed at their homes in Appalachicola, FL and Beaver Creek Colorado. Dan and Candy were active members at the FLORIDA YACHT CLUB on the St. Johns River. He was an accomplished deep sea fisherman, downhill skier and a total Alabama fan. He is preceded in death by his father, James Philbert Clark; maternal grandparents, Huey D. and Myrtle Henderson; paternal grandparents, Lonis and May Clark. Dan is survived by his wife, Candy, and his two sons Danny Jr. (32 years old) who lives in Montgomery, AL and Steven (28 years old) who is in UNITED STATES NAVY in Mayport, Florida. Dan is also stepfather to Charles (Chad) Hart who lives in Sarasota, Florida and Catie Lott (Matt) who lives in Jacksonville, FL. Dan was Grandfather to Maggie and Sophie Lott. In addition, Dan was the proud owner of Peanut (Beagle), Spooky (Cat), Jinx (Cat) and Cricket (King Charles Spaniel). He is also survived by his mother and step-father, Ruby and Robert Schillinger of Taylorsville, MS; sisters, Diane Poach of Mize, MS; Gail Walters of Taylorsville, MS; brothers, Joey Clark of Taylorsville, MS; Ronnie Clark of Raleigh, MS; Phil Clark of Louisville, Kentucky. He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and very special family and friends. There will be a viewing at the Hardage-Giddens Edgewood , 729 S. Edgewood Ave, Jacksonville, FL. from 6-8pm on 6th. Service will be held on , 10:00am, 7th, at Riverside Baptist Church, 2650 Park St., Jacksonville, FL. Following the Service there will be a formal military burial at the Jacksonville National at 2:00pm you will need to arrive by 1:30pm for burial, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL. 32218.
