Obituary: Kathryn P. Ciell-Hays, 55 yrs. Fort Myers, FL, died peacefully on 1, 2015 of liver disease, the sequela of many years battling addiction, and recent battle with cancer. She grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ. Daughter of the late P. and Marion C. Ciell. She is survived by siblings Michael (Claire) & Auggie (Linda) Ciell, and Christine (William) McBride and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She graduated from Cherry Hill High School East and Gettysburg and attended Oklahoma City University Law School. First married to Joseph Murphy and then to (the late) Gary Hays; both gave her an enthusiasm for FSU. She enjoyed a career in pharmaceutical sales. Kathy had an outgoing personality and enjoyed converstion-she would talk to anyone & everyone she could; she loved people, animals, food & travel, flowers, art, music, and had a penchant for humor & drama. Thanks to all the people who helped her in her times of need- the staff of Hope Hospice, LMH, The woodlands, Florida Cancer Specialists, 21st Century Radiation, Life of Estero, and Zirilli's Cool Treats on Pine Island Road, who filled her chemo days with delightful Italian "Water Ice." Obituary: Lennard Ciecieznski, born 18, 1950 in Nutley, NJ, passed away 13, 2014 following a seven month battle with pancreatic cancer. Len graduated from Dixie Hollins High School in 1968; he continued his education at St. Petersburg Junior with an Associate of Arts in Radio/TV Broadcasting and The University of Florida, Gainesville, with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising. He also became a member of MENSA. His career in Advertising and Broadcasting spanned forty years. He worked at advertising agencies in St. Petersburg, FL; Baltimore, MD; and Tampa, FL. A great opportunity took him to Walt Disney World where he was Marketing Copy Supervisor. Len also worked for multiple radio stations in Rochester, NY; Pittsburgh, PA and Miami, FL where he received many awards for excellence. Returning home to St. Petersburg, he found his dream job working with Pinellas Communications for the past eighteen years. He is known as "The Voice of Pinellas " for the many programs he delivered to the people of the county via PCC-TV (Pinellas Connection Television) "Inside Pinellas", multiple county meetings, including eTownhall, and Pinellas Citizens University. Len worked with county officials to provide information to the public; vital issues, such as Emergency Response, as well as historical subjects, including the Heritage Village anniversary and Pinellas 911 Tribute, were among the many program offerings. In Len's own words, "My entire career has been involved with professional communication on several levels. In radio, TV, print, or collateral, I have used words to electrify ideas and give them shape and substance. I have used the graphic potential of print, the theater of the mind power of radio, and the visual impact of video to communicate straight to the point and convey these ideas indelibly to whomever happens to be in the target audience." He was preceded in death by his father, Sigmund Ciecieznski and sister, Judith Ciecieznski Lingl. He is survived by his mother, Helen Ciecieznski, brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Brenda Ciecieznski, nieces, Annette Phillips and Natalie Ciecieznski, and nephew, William Phillips. Len will be greatly missed by family, friends, and co-workers, but will remain in our hearts and memories forever. A gathering of friends will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. , 18, 2014 at Garden Sanctuary . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Len's name to pancreatic research groups, such as the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer, or to Suncoast Hospice. In honor of Len's contributions, the studio in the Pinellas Communications offices was dedicated as The Len Ciecieznski Studio. The announcement was made and a commemorative plaque was hung outside the door during his retirement luncheon in .
